The highlight is paru.its very tender, not a crisps type.
The sambal goreng and the Daun singkong are tasty, but the chicken meat a bit dry.
I feel the price on the higher side.
💰$30.4.
📍Warung M.Nasir.
69 Killiney Road.

Had opor ayam (chicken with coconut-milk sauce), teri kacang (fried anchovy with peanuts), and kangkong belacan. Taste quite authentic and the belacan is spicy! They also have popular Indonesian beverages such as Teh Botol (original and less sugar option) and Fruit Tea.

It’s slightly pricier than other Indonesian stalls such as ayam penyet outlets.

I chose sayur lodeh, ikan bilis with peanuts and beef rendang. Plus a bit of chicken curry gravy on the rice. The dishes here were on the spicy side so be prepared. Got a nice burn in my tummy after this. The curry vege was flavorful and the vege was nice and soft but not mushy. Got a pc of fried tofu too. Ikan bilis was delicious. But more peanuts than ikan bilis. Beef was on the tough side. A lot of dishes were sold out when I arrived on a Saturday night 8pm.

Affordable nasi padang around kiliney road. Had meat, and 3 veggies for $8. The chicken rendang taste definitely like an indonesian version rendang, the drier yet very rich. Other toppings i had was veggies in peanut sauce, egg (somehow counted as veg) and sambal goreng. 4/5

There're a variety of items available and you just have to pick and choose. The curry fish I had was very fresh and it was steamed then curry was added. I prefer this method as I can tell the freshness of the fish. Overall the flavour is good and though it's a bit more expensive than other places it's worth it.

This Nasi Padang eatery is a hideaway you'd almost always missed it as you pass by the stretch of eateries along Kilinney Road. Saw the restaurant featured recently in a magazine and decided to try out since I was around. It looks like a regular eatery shop when I pass by but immediately as I enter, I was captivated by the blues music that you'd not connect with a Malay food eatery. But hey, some how it clicked! The cabe ayam (chili chicken), kantang goreng (stir-fried potato wedges), sayur lodeh (vegetables in coconut milk curry) and tempeh goreng (caramlised soy bean cake) blended in so well not only on my plate but as I take each bite of the hearty dishes as I scooped them with steamed rice, the flavours were indeed music to my ears!
