Kurobuta Loin & Iberico Belly, Crab Meat, Snow Crab served in Crab Shell (cute!)

Broth is awesome, almost felt too greedy slurping up the last drop.

Decided to try a seafood based ramen from Tsuta this time, was a bit apprehensive so I did not want to go straight for the premium option. The premium option costs $23.90, with premium kurobuta loin and iberico, as well as a Japanese snow crab served in a beautiful looking crab shell. However, the ordinary version contains their normal cha siu slice as well as crab meat. The broth itself was complemented with tomato paste and sour cream β€” odd, but I have to say that while I was unable to taste much of it in the broth, it perhaps helped in terms of giving a creamier texture to the soup. The seafood broth was rich, amounting to somewhat like a thicker consistency of prawn soup to me. One downside is that there did not seem to be much crab meat in the bowl of ramen. I did think it was a delicious bowl of ramen, and I would personally go for the premium option next time to enjoy more and seemingly higher quality ingredients. If you love seafood broth ramen, this is worth a try.

πŸ’¬ Wow calling this broth rich is an understatement- the broth was so rich, it could call Elon Musk poor. Each sip was jam-packed with flavours; it was sweet, it was umami and very crab-y. Almost like I was drinking a crab instead of eating it, certainly a feast for your tastebuds. Up next, the ramen noodles; which were a little softer than what I would usually prefer, and they were also not very springy. However, it still does a good job trapping the broth in-between the strands, delivering that umami bomb right into your mouth. The crab meat and pork slices were all extremely delicate and tender, with the chashu breaking apart the moment I tried lifting it. There was also this tomato purΓ©e with minced crab meat and a blob of sour cream, which I assume were there to balance out the flavours of the broth. However after thoroughly mixing them up, I felt that it did not add much to the soup as perhaps intended. Have to admit the whole bowl was rather one dimensional but hey if you are a crab-lover like me, this bowl definitely hits the spot!

Finally trying this place. Queues for quite a bit but nothing too long. Tried the tonkotsu broth and it was really delicious. This flavour was black pepper with garlic. I loved the flavour of this soup, however, it got a bit too bitter at the end with an overwhelming garlic taste. But the first half of the bowl was really good. The flavoured egg was so amazing! The best I’ve ever tried. It’s not just your normal ramen flavoured egg, rather, it has a slight charred flavour that added a great taste to it. Would always add it from now on! Can’t wait to try other sobas.

I loved this! It has a pleasant sweet note with a light taste, complementing very well with your bowl of ramen. Furthermore, it’s a pot that is constantly refillable and you can share it with a few people. So it’s really worth it for $3.80.
