The normal pricing like the other dining places in Orchard. Worth the price, not crowded. Something their staff should improve on though. The staff walks to our table every 5 minutes just to check if you’ve finished your food. The moment I land my fork on my last prawn, they took my plate away. In actual fact, I wanted to use the plate for my half platter in case I drop my food.

Looked promising when the Thai milk tea filling oozed out upon cut but it could have been smoother and less clumpy. Unfortunately, the cake was also a tad too doughy for our liking.

A carbonara style pasta topped with slices of smoked duck. Sauce was a little too thick for our liking, hence it got a tad jelak nearing the end. If you want to get this, it’s probably good to share with a friend to mix up the flavours. The White Button has $15 set dinners - your choice of main, a soup of the day and a soft drink.

With a slew of Singapore-special menus rolling out everywhere in the month of August, here's one you shouldn't miss!

The other pasta dishes were outshone by this Spicy Dried Shrimp Sambal Pasta, something I wouldn't mind coming back for every once in awhile. Hoping this will stay on the menu! Promotion comes as a set with bandung cooler. I love bandung but the bandung cooler while refreshing, was too sweet.
The star of the show has got to be the haebihiam, using the chef's mum's recipe - definitely did her proud. Fragrant, fried perfectly giving a bit of crunch, I loved the ikanbilis; served also with fresh prawns and of course, they were generous with the white button mushrooms. The pasta reminded us of aglio olio, without being over garlicky nor spicy so this is good for people who can't take heat well (ie me).

Thank you #burpple for the invite and @thewhitebuttonsg for having us!

Thought this dish would work better if the sauce was less thick and creamy and if the tom yum spiciness was pushed slightly up a notch! That said, good to know that The White Button has $15 set dinners - your choice of main, a soup of the day and a soft drink.

Yes, I know I know, this doesn’t have the most appetising of colours, but it was our favorite dish of the night! The hae bee hiam (chef's mum's recipe!) was fried very well and fragrant, surprisingly a good combination with the rest of the elements on the plate - crunchy prawns, slices of white button mushroom and crispy fried silverfish. It’s done in an agilo olio sort of style, a little garlicky and umami yet not too spicy, so I’d think it’ll appeal to the less spice eating crowd as well. As a National Day special, this pasta comes together with a glass of Bandung Cool Fizz - rose syrup, soda and yogurt, a creative creation that was unfortunately too sweet for our liking.

Thank you @thewhitebuttonsg for hosting us and @burpple for the kind invite! 🙆🏻
