Don’t think I’ve had anything like this before and I really enjoyed it! With avocado cubes, crunchy sakura shrimp and pesto sauce on a teppan cheese base, you get a variety of textures and likeable flavours. The edges of the cheese base was crispy while it retained that slight chewy centre. The kamameshi came studded with ikura, mushrooms and various types of fish. Rice was a little mushy for me and I’d prefer a slightly stronger touch of seasoning. That aside, the fish chunks were fresh and it came in a pretty big portion. Sashimi (tuna, yellowtail, flounder) were very fresh and fun to have - they serve you three different dips, the soy sauce, ponzu sauce and a special homemade chilli sauce! Got to say I was a bit skeptical of the chilli but it paired nicely to offer a light kick without overpowering.
