Nice deco & cosy. Food was reasonably priced.
TL: salted egg prawn pasta, more sweet than savoury and could amp up the spice level too. Prawns were big and succulent.
TR: Carbonara Bottom: The usual wings - pretty average, nice batter. #burpple #brunchintheheartlands #weekendbrunch
Dinner with the girls at this west-side cafe. Business was pretty good; quite a crowd when we arrived at 730 and was continuously filled till closing time at 10. Shared some wings ($6.50) for appetiser: freshly fried, hot and crispy, what's not to like? Comes with barbecue sauce dip on the side but I personally prefer it without. The Aglio Olio ($4.90) with chicken (+$3) had sufficient balance of garlic and spice flavours. Affordable western food in the heart of the neighbourhood: I see myself coming back pretty often π»
The west side of Singapore is slowly catching up on the cafe bandwagon. βΊοΈ Situated a 10 minutes walk from Chinese Garden MRT, this cafe sells a good variety of finger food, pastas and western mains. The Truffle Fries had just a slight hint of truffle taste, but I liked that the fries were really crispy and not that potato-y (i.e.: more skin outside less potato inside). The Vongole had a good amount of clams, but taste-wise it was pretty ordinary. Didn't think it deserved the Chef-recommendation logo on the menu. Overall, the food here is pretty decent and value-for-money and I'll visit again for the other items on the menu!
$7 and the serving is large, i could pass this off as a meal by itself and its good but sinful!
Quite a nice neighbourhood cafe to go after a swim (since Jurong east swimming pool is nearby), this is filling and its $9.90 without any service charge or GST! The cheese might be a bit overpowering but overall a nice dish to try out. I would prefer my hollandaise sauce tho.
Great to find this cafe at Jurong east. The food is good and big portion. Definitely worth the money with no gst and service charge.
