Teochew Meat Puff

The puff was generously filled with minced pork and stuffed with Chinese celery with some roasted peanuts sticking onto the external surface of the batter. The octopus was not very significant among the minced meat and I can hardly spot them.

Overall I find that the meat puff has some lacking flavours and perhaps if the meat can be more seasoned for some extra oomph. The outer layer was crispy and perfectly fried to its golden brown however, the layer of batter was slightly thicker than expectations, they also lacked the fragrant that other Fuzhou Oyster Pancakes catered.

This has got to be the most delicious meat puff EVER.

Ordered when we got there and the uncle started making so it was served HOT and it tatsed so good. And the outer layer dough was extremely good too, when it got to the last bite around the edge, the crisp and taste was perfect.

It's quite sizeable for a puff and the filling is extremely generous, and hence worth the price. There's veggie, minced meat and choice of seafood (prawn, scallop, oyster, octopus and crabstick) in each puff, so it can essentially be a meal on its own.

Got two more back for the family and we had it for dinner. Though no longer hot, but it still tastes great.

We came around 7pm, and no one ordered beside us, so we got freshly made meat puff.
It's really huge compared with other meat puff, comes with 6 options to choose (Oyster, Prawn,Octopus, Crab, Scallop and vegetable).
The outer very thin and crispy, filled with minced meat,celery and choice of filling.
Feature is the Scallop Pork, the scallop is in the centre of the minced meat.

still one of the best meat puffs i’ve tried! chanced upon the snaking queues awhile back at a pasar malam, decided to figure out the hype and was instantly hooked. generous stuffing of meat is ultra tender and the puff is deep fried to perfection! queues have died down now at the store so definitely give it a shot if you haven’t
