Onions in the pizza, added extra crunch to it (S$15.90++).
[Halal] I was awake at 3am one night last week and I was feeling hungry. Now, I could have settled for the usual McDonald’s or perhaps even one of those 24-hour eating houses.
But I was up for something different – and my brother suggested Swensen’s at Changi Airport as it is in operation 24 hours daily and their breakfast hours run from 3am to 11am. In a spur of the moment, with the swelling of a YOLO mentality for whatever reason, I agreed to it. 🤣
The Eggs Benedict was actually pretty decent! Nothing much to point out except that the eggs were poached beautifully, which kind of surprised me…? Probably because the past few times I’ve had it elsewhere, the yolk was semi-hardened. So hey! I actually quite enjoyed that brunch-supper (or brupper, if there exists such a term). 😋 (7.3/10)
I’m actually quite amused by the size of the Mega Burger (S$16.50) because it did not fit very well with the description.
Unfortunately, it was more disappointing than that. I personally found that the beef patty was over-minced because it sort of lost its texture altogether. And if that was still not bad enough, the bun that they used was dry and broke easily with gentle force on my fork.
On another note, there would always be other comfort food that I could find in Swensen’s. Just that Mega Burger did not make it there.
Fish and chips, black pepper seafood pasta and durian supreme. Love the green with envy beverage!
The only complaint I have is the amount of chicken skin as well - disgusting.
Love Swensens Happy Hour Promo from 2-4pm on weekdays, where you get a free sundae with a main course. Not sure if its islandwide promo or just at the airport though.
The sambal is not the spicy that i expected it to be but the prawns were awesome!! overall it was ok for me. Extra spicy it will be great!!
