A small restaurant located along the busy street opposite i12 Katong, Stirling Steaks served up one mean steak. Went for the tenderloin which was executed well, a nice sear that was delicately marinated, and unsurprisingly, very tender. The side of truffle fries were a tad too oily, but still delicious. Would definitely come back here with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal - so worth it!

Though I’m not in the area often, if I feel like steak I always consider this charming little place. High quality steaks at affordable price. On this visit though, the prices had gone slightly higher ( but still pretty good), but was a little disappointed that it had lost the char that I loved so much. This was the place that made me restart my burpple membership. Super duper worth it with the Burpple 1-for-1!
We ordered a 220g wagyu steak under 1-for-1 mains, and it was quite a disaster. The mashed potato tat came with it tasted bland and the texture was completely off. The steak was tender but with lots of tendon. The truffle fries was rather plain too. The fried wings tat we ordered was soaked in oil and left us with a queasy tummy. Personally I feel $64.50 is way too expensive for this quality and I will not come back again.
ribeye steak ($37) is a really good cut! much better than many restaurants even fine-dining💯 there was no tendon inside at all, tender with a good chew 👍 highly recommend and a regular place to check out!
Ironically ordered the salmon despite it being known for its steaks. The salmon was a decent portion, having a super crispy exterior and juicy interior. Topped with creamy dill and leek sauce, this gave the dish a unique kick which made it even better.
Will definitely go back, this time to try something that they are recognised for, steaks.
💯 Verdict: 5 / 5

Cosy place for a weekend dinner treat - don't expect a fancy restaurant, more of a relaxed diner vibe. Service was somewhat slow on a Friday night with the one staff looking quite surly, but nevermind them as the focus is more on the food!

Ribye 250g ($37.50) - Tender and juicy, charcoal grilling it gave it a distinct char and a slight smokey taste. This was oh so delicious with the avocado butter lending another dimension of flavour. Don't skip the truffle fries because those were crisp and lip smackingly-good!
Pork Cheeks ($6.90) - Sinfully good, these almost felt like bitng into smokey pieces of fat. So good that we ordered another portion, but might be too fatty for some so take care!
Smoked Duck Breast ($16.90) - Wow. Just wow. Melt in your mouth, my first slice burst in my mouth with juices. Loved every bite and I was exclaiming throughout while finishing my portion. Mop up the juices and fat drippings with the baby potatoes too!
Mid wings ($6.90) - Good, but you can skip this if there's already too much meat on the table.
Fish and Chips ($14.90) - Standout was the mayo, there was an addictive quality to it unlike your usual Heinz or Kewpie mayo. Otherwise, a boring dish.
Tenderloin 220g ($39.90) - True to its name, very tender. But didn't like this as much as the ribeye and felt that this was quite tasteless without the accompanying sauce.
Overall,. very good meal for meat lovers but take care of the older folks here - my aunties and uncles felt that the meal was "too oily" and were worried for their gout. Burrple redemption was also confusing as at first we were told the 1-for-1 could only be used for the steaks but when payment my Duck Breast and Fish & Chips were the free dishes. Also, parking on a Friday night was a nightmare.
