Luxury trio @ $106++
Includes hangar, ribeye and Special wagyu beef at additional $8++

The supply of meats there is seasonal and the wagyu beef they had when we were there had to be charged an additional $8. But no complaints there because it was really great! All the meats were good and super delicious.

The servers will torch the meats when serving them to give an extra smokey flavour which is really nice.

Grilled perfectly and well seasoned that each rib was bursting with flavour and juicy.

Thia hefty choice cut got blowtorched in front of us for a fiery visual treat. Consisting of two different cuts, the tenderloin was most tender with nice amount of fat for a "buttery" flavour, while the strip had a firmer texture and more robust beef flavour.

The meat was charred to a nice medium rare and served with house salad, beetroot puree, truffle mustard and sea salt. It was tender, slightly chewy, juicy and boasted a strong beefy taste. The natural sweetness of the beetroot puree helped to balance the meatiness.

Decided to go with the ribeye steak and it was a good - came with truffle mustard sauce and beetroot puree to pair. Broccoli could had been slightly more charred for a better crunch. Went on a weekday evening so it was rather empty. Service was great and staff were helpful. PS; I love the truffle fries 👍

Tldr come for the ribeye and the brown butter ckn

Their highlight here apart from the ribeye.

It's a honey marinated ckn which was very well marinated and very flavourful. Cook was great too, it's very tender(probably sous vide). What a pity that they didn't sear it at all.

Broccoli was roasted perfectly too.

Beetroot purre though. They have this problem where they spread the puree very thinly below the meats, for both this and the steaks. As the oil flows from the meats, it diluted the already thin puree into basically purple water with no taste

But otherwise this is the standard I expect from betterfield, which the head chef was from? The rest of the things didn't stun

This is the most basic option comprising hanger, ribeye from aus, and dry aged steak. They said it's dry aged ribeye but the staff is terribly mistaken, this is a super lean cut. I'm guessing it's tenderloin

Hanger is medium rare and tender, but way, way, way too chewy

Ribeye was delicious actually. Everything is torched so there's a nice smokiness, and the ribeye was juicy and tender, with just a mild chew. Flavour was on point too, it's very intense. I would recommend this cut for sure

Dry aged tenderloin?? Was overcooked. We requested for medium rare as they recommended but this was medium to medium well almost. Tender but very chewy. I have to admit the dry aging was done extremely well here though, there's a strong clean beefyness in the aftertaste. Too bad it's a lean cut that's overcooked

The wait here is ridiculous. There's one guy taking orders and that's extremely slow. Then the kitchen wait is 40mins before we got anything at all. Come on how long does it take to melt raclette?
And then the steak came before the corn. Jesus ...

Super strong miso. This is really one of those dishes thats hate it or love it. The first bite is discombobulating and I still don't think this pairing works with this intensity of miso, but I have to admit the taste grows on you and is actually pretty decent if you eat it with something plain tasting

Lousy.

The raclette tastes like any other normal cheese, texture was stringy as well. Doesn't even seem like raclette tbh

Potatoes were not well roasted at all, 0 crisp

And there's a pool of oil at the bottom

And the Hyogo Japanese oysters are so very fresh and plump and the accompanying ponzu sauce gives it that extra citrusy flavor. I am already missing the oysters as I am writing this. You can either opt for $21 for 6 oysters or $39 for 12 oysters which is very reasonably priced.

As what HL says, expect a simple no frills restaurant at Steakville but they serve really good steak here. And boy, was he right. Steakville is located right inside Sunshine Plaza and we have discovered several amazing food gems here over the past years.

Nibbler had the beef platter with HL - which consists of hanger, ribeye and Japanese Wagyu. The A4 Wagyu are so well marbled and it melts just right in your mouth 🤤

Hanger, ribeye and Japanese wagyu! So good for a Thursday night :)

Steakville has become one of my favorite places to take friends, especially on celebratory occasions. The steak is both affordable and really good, and the buttered brown chicken is amazing. I love the sides as well - the mushrooms and cheese potato are well worth the money. I don’t usually spend on sides to save on moolah, but this place makes me want to stretch my order just a little bit more 😊

Sunshine Plaza is tucked away where life isn’t so crowded, which I enjoy. Yet it’s just a stone’s throw away from the other major establishments like Plaza Sing and Cathay, and dessert is nearby and accessible. 10/10 would recommend this place!

If you’re a fan of truffle, call in and check with them if this is available. For real.

Off menu order:
Truffle Mash - made with Truffle Butter (which you can buy from their home brand - The Unusual Butter) and fresh truffles. 🤤✨

The truffle fries is fresh and crispy but I did find it a little ex as it is truffle mayo which means it is a little diluted.

Can do without, I wish they offered normal fries at half the price (:

Can also skip the mushrooms, was a tad too salty.

I love a good steak! @steakvillesg is a hidden and underrated restaurant serving steaks near the heart of town (Bencoolen).

We ordered the 200g Hanger Steak ($22+), that comes with a salad. The beef was tender and juicy, very small of it has a mildly burnt taste (which I like). It comes with a very light beetroot sauce that adds a touch of sweetness to the dish!

This is comparable to Featherblade but without the queue.

Give it a try!

Psst, they have a weekday lunch deal, though steaks are not included but most reviews said that their other dishes such as pasta and chicken are also awesome. And they serve good coffee by @candourcoffee

While Steakville specialises in steak, I didn’t regret ordering the Brown Buttered Chicken ($15). The chicken breast was slow-cooked in butter with cloves of garlic and herbs for a mouthwatering aroma. Unlike some tough and dry breast meat out there, the chicken was tender and succulent. To my surprise, the butter wasn’t too “jelak”, but then again, the slab of chicken was sitting in the pool of butter (definitely normal) which was slightly unnerving as I feared the calories 😂 It was delicious nonetheless.

Had a catch-up with a few girl-friends at Steakville.
We ordered items from their usual main menu, when a couple 2 tables away from us had this huge platter of meat done with Flambé in front of them.

Intrigued, we asked the staff about it. Only then we were told it’s the special for the day. They had 3 pieces of such Ribeyes from their supplier fresh on the day itself. Hence, it’s offered as a special. So, we decided to change our order to this.

So glad we did! Because the meat was fabulous!

If and when you’re dining here, do ask if they have any special of the day because they don’t put it up on their social media.

They ran out of the Hanger steak. So, we had another Ribeye instead. So it was perfect for 2 pax, each of us had a Ribeye steak and shared the Wagyu between us.

We requested not to have any sauce or dressing to the medium-rare steak, as it’s best to taste the beef with the generous amounts of sea salt sprinkled all over the plate.

Have been wanting to come for the beef platter! So glad for this impromptu lunch today since it’s a PH (SG’s 53rd National Day!) Plus the fact that we got such a good deal - it was only $53 for today!

Very value-for-money! Love how the beef is done according to our preference, in this case it was medium. 👍🏼👍🏼
