Skinny Chef (Changi Road)

If you're around the area and don't mind some Kopitiam western food, @skinnychef_sg is an option you can go for!

I got myself a Half Spring Chicken ($8) with herb rice and sauteed mushrooms, and I was blown away by the size of the fried chicken. It was also well fried, as the crust was crispy and chicken within was succulent. The seasoning penetrated the chicken well, and I didn't need any sauce even for the breast portion. The batter itself had an interesting seasoning, as it was slightly sweet and salty which made it addictive.

My partner had Grilled Salmon ($14), which may appear dry but it was actually very succulent and tender within! It's interesting how they also separated the skin from the meat and grilled it into a crackling. That itself was addictive too!

Sides for all mains were just normal, nothing much to shout out about.

For finger food, both the Cheese Fries ($4.50) and Salt & Pepper Fish ($4.50) came in huge portions and they were just alright too.

I would come back for their Spring Chicken definitely! At the affordable price it's value for money! Thank you @skinnychef_sg for the food and @wantwoeatsg for the invite!

Visited Skinny Chef Changi Road on 20 Feb 2024 around 6.20pm to enjoy the deals but unable to select the deal because the Burple message says restaurant is currently closed. But the stall was open and the stall operator told me I could not enjoy the deal since I could not select the deal on Burple. I had to pay full price. Is the deal published on Burple misleading? How are members’ interest protected? BTW, the deals would only expire on 31 March 2024 as shown on Burple.

The Pork collar Chop has many positive google reviews.

It was quite easy to eat and not as dry as I pictured it prior. The pork chop was quite tasty and the black pepper sauce really goes well with it.

Many sides to choose from, so will be spoiled for choice.

It's really huge. Very sinful

Every bite is crispy. The nacho cheese just makes this super sinful.

Certainly a very very filling lunch

The chicken cutlet is good for sharing actually, quite nice as an evil junk food since it’s topped with nacho cheese. The creamy sous vide egg is the consolation you’re still eating healthy protein. Their baked mac & cheese is petite and good. I hope they improve their coleslaw’ taste.

Verdict: a good neighbourhood western stall
Food: 7.5/10

Love this pork chop! The amount of meat given was just right and I love how tender it is! Will visit again
