PSA opens at 1130, moves at a snail's pace. They're busy all the way from the time they open.

Siobak was tough which was way it's chopped into tiny pieces, which is why it takes so long. The chicken is somewhat tasteless but there's quite a bit of complexity from the oil or the marinate, even if it doesn't penetrate enough. The gizzard is drenched in sauce and is otherwise tasteless as well, but it works okay. It's got crunch which is great but there's too much bite

Cabbage soup was tasteless, chili is pretty textbook. Rice was slightly on the hard side but it's decent when you have it with the tender ckn. They're very generous with rice so ask for less rice, less rice corresponds to normal chicken rice stall portions.

Overall the queue comes from the price, it's really not worth queueing imo maybe except for the duck

Duck marinade was impressive, well spiced and sweet. Duck thigh was tender but the breast was very dry

Chili is the normal ckn rice chili, herbal sauce was well executed. Their rice is super aromatic, abit on the hard side tho

Quite a good version

Our final chicken rice on the night before Malaysia's chicken ban. We randomly visited, but it was decent. The rice was fragrant and you get a personal soup. The chicken was old-school and messy, but it did its job. The char siew was the surprise. It's not the best cut, but it had lots of glaze and sauce.

I like how the pricing of every possible combination of meats is spelled out clearly without having to worry about exceeding our budget for the meal.
.
Eager to try as many of their meats as possible, I ordered the char siew and roasted meat rice with chicken meat ($5.50).
.
The char siew was chopped in thick chunks and very meaty. Although it was all lean with no fats, the texture is not tough and dry at all.
.
My only gripe is that their char siew have no charred bits nor the caramelized exterior that I like.
.
Drizzled with dark soy sauce, the roasted pork is not too fatty just the way I like it. It was not overly salty as well.
.
I wished the rind is crispy but alas, it has turned soft.
.
I had expected to be given skinless chicken breasts that is dry and fibrous. On the contrary, the skin are all accounted for while the texture is succulent.

Looks messy, but it's so delicious.

The roasted pork was crispy as well.

Was initially disappointed that fatty cheong was closed. But this alternative is good substitute.

Be prepared for long queues during lunch hours. Chicken rice is moist and tasty. Chicken char Siew + egg @ $4.50. Affordable price!
