Aiya I was craving this but theirs cmi. Barely any taste except the few salted fish.
First time trying this new stall. Not often you get crispy skin on roast meat. Thumbs up. Overall quite good.
Shaxian has interesting cuisine. They seem to love dry noodles. Here the meat was ordinary, but I loved the la mian.
Shaxian has interesting cuisine. For example, they eat a lot of 馄饨, which is smaller than 饺子. The filling is fish paste. They're not bad, but the soup was terrible. We should've ordered the bone broth.
Best matcha I have ever tried in Singapore!
Read rave reviews about this place so we were here to try! This coffeehouse was sooo crowded even on a late weekend afternoon (jus ~30mins before closing time)! Was shocked by the amount of crowd here!
Got the signature iced matcha creamu ($8.9)
Very interesting drink! Was recommended to eat the cream by itself with the spoon provided first! the matcha latte was thick and the sweetness and bitterness were nicely balanced! Thoroughly enjoyed this cup of iced matcha, I must say one of the better ones I have ever had in Singapore! Take my money!!
My only gripe about this place is the lack of seats (we actually sat at the seats next door that belonged to another restaurant that was closed then)
Great experience, tucked away in a quiet place but this restaurant brings out one of the best dining experience.
Food is fantastic, really recommend the burrata, bismark blanc pizza and the tiramisu! Environment js nice and cosy, lightning is perfect for a dinner date and staff are extremely friendly and attentive. There is also plenty carpark lots in the basement.
the place to get your hands on the honey-glazed shokupan toasts, filled with stretchy injeolmi mochi for that perfect chewy bite! Pair it with their honey-glazed sandos—packed with flavour and sure to wow your taste buds. And don’t forget their delicious drinks, like the Purple Haze Latte and Black Sesame Drink, to complete your meal. A perfect spot for anyone craving sweet, savory, and refreshing treats all in one!
The beef bulgogi with bafun uni was well-seasoned, with the pickled radish balancing the rich flavors. However, the uni didn’t stand out as much as expected. The octopus with assam hummus was a surprising combination, with the hummus’ spicy kick adding an unexpected twist. Even those who don’t usually enjoy hummus would find this dish appealing. The smoked ice cream, kaya, and coffee cleverly reimagined kaya toast with a cup of coffee, especially with the addition of dark soy sauce, which added an intriguing depth. The service was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere made for a relaxing dinner experience.
It’s been awhile since I lunch at Teppei and this is still one of the most value-for-money chirashi / kaisen don I have had in Singapore. There is a wide range of rice bowls to choose from and the Scallop Kaisendon ($17++) is so good! The scallops are plump and sweet, and the assorted sashimi is tossed in a delicious sauce and very fresh. The portion is really generous and there is seriously so much sashimi per bowl. Each set also comes with tea and miso soup, and there is a free flow stewed radish side that is really good too - think I had 5 plates of this🙈 Definitely still my favourite chirashi place in town!
went for the dinner menu and was pleasantly surprised by the dishes served. there was always a twist to the item on the menu and we had a great time trying to guess the ingredients used.
highly recommend trying the haricot verts & buratta. the octopus with assam hummus was the perfect texture and spiciness!
pic shows the beef bulgogi & bafun uni - also worth a try!
