Because seven eight nine. If you still don’t get that joke, then God bless you. What’s not a joke, however, is Seven & Ate’s food.

Styled as a casual burger bar replete with a small selection of craft beers, Seven & Ate offers run of the mill cheeseburgers as well as considerably more adventurous burgers such as the pork & oysters burger ($16++) pictured here.

The pork and oysters burger is exactly what it says on the tin: two pork patties are doused in tonkatsu sauce and serve as the seat for the fried oyster fritter. Unfortunately, it’s a lot more batter than oyster in that fritter, and combined with the savoriness of the tonkatsu sauce, the oyster was close to nonexistent.

The pork patties aren’t too shabby, actually. Grilled with a nice golden brown crust on the outside, they were acceptably seasoned and went well with the tonkatsu sauce. Seven & Ate’s other burgers definitely looking like the better options, so I’d definitely recommend having any of those instead.

Got their signature. It was a really good burger. Overflowing with meat and flavour. The dip for the chips was good as well.

3 little pigs. Best pork burger I’ve ever tasted. The pork patties are marinated with a layer of honey mustard. The patties are more juicy compared to the other fancy beef burgers in town. I hope this place will not close down so soon. #burger #foodie #foodporn #foodphoto #foodphotography #singaporefood

I ordered the 3 little pigs burger ($18 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) and was surprised by the portion given. The nachos sides were of substantial amounts and were great with the salsa given. The burger itself was phenomenal. 2 pork patties, a slice of spam, a slice of pork belly and 2 bacon wrapped sausages? Thats what I'm talking about. The pork patties are really juicy and full on flavour. The pork belly was charred perfectly and melts in the mouth. Chill place, great food and craft beers? Sign me up!

I ordered Double P (double patty, Portobello mushrooms and Parmesan) and changed my nacho chips to wedges. The whole burger was really good. Every burger comes with double patty which are really juicy & flavourful. Probably the juiciest pork patty i ever had. Husband ordered 3 little pigs agreed that its good!. Super worth when you use Beyond!

$15 - Bacon & eggs burger (Double patties, house-made bacon jam, egg fritters, fried eggs)

The burgers come with a side of nachos but I upgraded it to wedges which costs $1.50 more. It was definitely a good decision though, because they gave a substantial amount and it was nicely fried and warm :-)

Nothing to complain about the burgers; they were simple and satisfying.

We waited pretty long for our food to come though (about 45mins - 1hr) , so you should try and avoid ordering during the peak hours.
