Finally made a trip to September Coffee Cafe!

This has been on my to-visit list of cafes for quite a while! Visited on a Friday evening and it was full house when we reached! The cafe doesn't take in reservations, so walk in queue only! Was told that the queue wait might be around 45mins, but we got called back in less than 15mins of walking around Chinatown!

Here is what we ordered:
-Crabmeat Linguine ($18+): Super love this! No regrets choosing this! Quite a substantial portion of pasta and crabmeat. Everything went so well together with the ebiko and seaweed strips! The pasta sauce is spicy lemon garlic butter so it had a little spice flavour to it. Pasta was also cooked to the right texture!
-Hearty Brekkie with Pancetta ($22+): We had BRUNCH food for DINNER! haha! Loved this platter because there was French toast! Instead of the usual sourdough bread etc. Loved the Uni Mayo Tater Tots! You can also choose whether you want pancetta / smoked salmon / scrambled eggs for the proteins!

Enjoyed the food here!

Absolutely love tater tots and here, the tater tots were hot and crispy! The flavour of the uni Mayo was good, but would’ve definitely appreciated if there were more sauce to be shared amongst all the tots. The half portion was delightful because it was perfect for trying and sharing, without having too huge a portion.

Huge piece of fried chicken placed on top of a thick French toast served with maple syrup on the side. The chicken was decent, well-battered and very fried but I thought that the batter lacked a distinct flavour. The French toast also fell short because it was dry and not fluffy. It does look like a sinful dish to get but I’m sceptical that it lives up to how good it looks.

A huge portion of Rosé udon, loved the creamy gochujang flavour that kicked a nice spice, and the very bouncy yet chewy texture of the udon. The karage was just decent - a tad bit dry and I couldn’t really make up the flavours of the batter. I still thought it was quite an interesting and filling plate, so I’d recommend sharing!

Loved this! Tater tots were so crisp and when paired with the torched uni Mayo and bonito flakes, was simply delicious and rich with umami. Portion was also well worth the prize. A must order!

Always a long queue whenever I pass by and it was a full house even on a Friday morning. As it was our first time visiting, we went with what everybody else seemed to be ordering. The Rose Udon, while aesthetic and yummy at first glance and bite, gradually turned jelat and pretty meh at the end. The pickled shallots were a no from me, but the enoki mushroom tempura was the best part. On the other hand, the black sesame latte was delicious, creamy with a strong sesame taste. Would return to try the Signatures.
