Enjoyed this Spicy Chicken STEW with Rice at @seoulyummy! 🇰🇷 Their weekday lunch value deals at $10.90++ are pretty worthwhile, especially for a better TGIF lunch or catching up with friends! 💗
.
The soup base was moderately spicy with a kick 🌶 from the abundance use of Korean chilli flakes but tasted pretty light on the palate, which got me going for more! 🤤

Topped with spicy chicken slices 🐔 & vegetables 🥬, as well as beaten egg which adds some eggy fragrance, this made a hearty meal! 😋
I like coming here for the weekday lunch promotion, which includes a main, barley tea, and banchan for just $10++. I had the japchae with bulgogi beef and the portion was generous, with a nice amount of ingredients. The barley tea was warming and I liked the bean sprouts in the banchan.
Had dessert at seoul yummy. Red bean soup with rice cakes.
Previously also tried their soondubu jiggae and ginseng chicken. Soup was bland and not rich. Japchae was ok. Will only eat here again if there is a promotion or discount.
Set includes a chicken stir-fry spicy stew (choose from level 1-3), an appetizer and a dessert. Just for one day (30th June), @seoulyummy has up their game by introducing a LEVEL 5 spicy stew! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Challenged myself for this fiery factor and true enough, my tongues got numbed from the stew that was Seoul spicy! 🌶 If you have tried the famous Korean Samyang Spicy instant noodles, this packs a much greater punch and intensity of spice! Along with ramyeon noodles, tender chicken chunks, carrots, potatoes and leeks, as much as I love spice and as one who adores Mala, this was quite a challenge to me that I couldn’t help but order a ‘Knock knock’ - iced mix fruit tea (swipe to view) to calm my numbing tongue and soothe my throat. We were given the seafood pancake as an appetizer, which unfortunately was already cold when we had it and lacked crispness. The matcha bingsu that was served at the end makes a comforting and great finale, fluffy and snowflake-like shaved milk ice topped with a scoop of matcha ice cream, red bean and garnished with cornflakes. Would be great if the texture of the ice cream was smoother, as this came with a grainy and powdery aftertaste which I didn’t quite fancy. Would also personally prefer if the bingsu was less sweet with a more distinct matcha flavour. Nevertheless, it was still a sweet ending to the fiery meal! ✨ Perhaps level 1-3 would suffice as a yummy and comfort food for the soul instead!😬 .

Thanks @seoulyummy and @theprsalon for the fiery feast that challenged my threshold of spice, as well as @yongkaiiii for extending the invite! 🥘

The outlet here seemed to be understaffed, we had to wait for half an hour for our dessert even though the restaurant wasn’t very crowded. Quite a mediocre one, ice wasn’t flavoured and the flavours came from only the chocolate powder and chocolate rice crisps.
Despite not the restaurant's bestseller, the Savoury Fried Wings & Drumlets has now become the mandatory appetiser for my meals at Seoul Yummy. The crunch of the batter is just to my liking, and the sauce they drizzle over the wings is like icing on the cake. Just make sure to eat this while it is hot for the best satisfaction. Oh come on, use your hands and don't be shy to lick your fingers after that!
