Due to the super affordable price point, I did not have high expectation of the food quality. Surprisingly it surpass my expectation. I had the Salmon & Swordfish sashimi don ($15++). Comes with 6 slices of sashimi, and it taste reasonably fresh! I like how they prepare the don, it’s those sticky and slightly strong vinegar taste 💕
Also ordered other sashimi, where you can choose it by the counter & they will slice for you. Had a big plate of salmon belly and it only cost ($18++), the quality is as fresh! Would prefer the salmon belly sashimi to be slice into bigger pieces.
Had some other deep fried sides like potato croquette, kani cream croquette & wakasagi karage which only cost $6++ each. All was not bad.
Will definitely be back for more of their sashimi!
This is a meatier fish, it's v similar to a few fishes but also slightly different from any specific one. I would describe it as a more buttery Saba, but that's also not a v good description
I tot I was stupid for choosing 2 saikyo-yaki but turns out it's not that bad because they taste quite different(even the marinate itself, for some reason).
Skin was slightly crispy, quite nice to have some charred spots. Very value for money too.
Fish was buttery, like cod but slightly worse. The saikyo-marination isn't very strong. Only the circumference of the skin was crispy. Not too bad overall
This place is my family’s go-to casual Japanese restaurant! We enjoy the cha soba, which has a good bite. The tempura batter is light and crunchy - not oily nor cloying. Food here is generally good and comforting :)
My family’s go-to Japanese restaurant! First time trying the bara chirashi don, it was really fresh and it’s pretty worth it for its price! Minor point but I actually find the rice really delicious too - sticky but not mushy :)
Sweet and delicious and the skin peels off easily too. Convenient and healthy, a must try!
