One of the popular Indian restaurants at Little India that always filled with people dining in.
Serving variety of items on the menu and for something full, I definitely recommend you to go with their set meal.
There’s a few type of chicken you can choose from, such as masala, fried or pepper.
The set meal will served with plain rice, a choices of curry & vegetables.
Featuring Biryani Rice, Aloo Gobi Mutter, Bhindi Fry, Yellow Dhal, Chenna Masala, Chappati, Paneer Makhani, Raita, Gulab Jamon, Kuruma, everything was good but what stood out most for me was their fragrant Biryani Rice! Belly satisfied…
Notice the white IKEA cup next to the water (that’s our ginger O). It tastes like gingen for those of you who use to try ginger drink. Sweet with ginger aroma and no milk served hot and go well with our lunch! 👌
We usually go for Indian vegetarian dishes but we want to try new dish in a new place. We opt for this prawn set meal. It is served with white rice, prawn curry & vegetable (rasam, raita, sambar, curd) + 2 pcs of poppadom in the set.
The prawns are served without shell and we think they have a good bite texture. We are not completely blown away by the taste but good portion of vegetables. Pity that they don’t have briyani rice for us to switch to as we are not a fan of plain white rice.
P.S. we notice that thosai and bhatura are popular choices here so we might go for those dishes next time.🤓
Help yourself with the candies after meal near the cashier. 😋
They claim to have satin-smooth creamy buttery chicken. We got 2 chicken thighs in this dish. The chicken is tender and moist. Not a wrong dish to order for our first visit.👌
Est. since 1997, we heard about this Home Style Indian eatery for a long time. They got 4 outlets and we decide to try the Syed Alwi since it is very close to Mustafa Centre. 👌
We start our meal ordering Kashmiri Pulau rice. It is delish with fragrant aroma and also packed with fruit & cashew nuts. Well worth the price we paid. 👍 Really recommend this dish if you order ala-Carte. The ambience is also good and not packed at lunch time compared to other places.
P.S. they are also the first restaurant to offer Indian-Chinese fusion cuisine which we have yet to try in this visit.☺️
