went at around 2pm and managed to snag some of these buttery goodness including the crossiant, pain au chocoalte and their escargot!! crossiant was buttery light and airy.
The crunch wasn't as strong as the croissant, but it's still substantial and there's really nothing to fault overall, pleasant apple filling
Oh damn. I guess I found out today how croissants are supposed to taste
Pure airy layered crispiness w the slightest of chews. And there's absolutely no grease at all
Only complaint was that it's so flaky it's difficult to eat. But it's seriously delicious in the simplest way
Words cannot describe my joy at finally finding a textbook canele. Most suck, and I've had almost all the famous ones alr.
This is perfection. Crispy exterior, slightly chewy flavourful interior. Enough said. They are the best, and by a mile, and the only correct one in our little island, at least from bakeries( I haven't tried the Michelin starred ones but I haven't seen any raves about them either and no one is going to pay 300bucks only for the canele i think)
Come at 1045 on a weekday, so you can queue in the Aircon from 11 onwards. They don't run out that fast. Moreover, no more preorder
Today, this wasn't very crispy unfortunately. But I can see how they would be amazing at their best. The chocolate and orange peels were rlly rlly fragrant and flavourful, sweetness was on point as well
The first thing I thought when I saw this, I was like, omg it’s so shiny! It was baked so perfectly that it almost looked kinda.. fake (in a good way). Well, definitely isn’t fake, because when I sunk my teeth in, it was just buttery crispy goodness. The real stuff. Its layers were so thin and crisp that the wind was literally blowing some of the half eaten layers away while we were eating it outside.
We visited on a weekday afternoon so there wasn’t a queue at all, but do take note of their baking timings because some of their pastries do sell out - you’d have to wait for the next batch to be done if you miss it. There wasn’t a place to dine in, so I guess this is more of a takeaway sorta bakery.
