This single plate ruined our experience. We waited 50mins for this, despite repeated reminders
Soroban was alright
Feet the exterior has a bit of unpleasant sticky chew, centre was quite good
As people probably know, their skewers come from the sister restaurant beside
Ckn crown was well charred, incredibly crispy at the edges and with a soft sticky texture in the middle
The heart was pretty decent as well, bite was good
Well this is pretty decent, the broth felt abit more salty than the most premium ones, but really they're all about the same
Ingredients were all okay as well, esp the more rare ones here like the bean curd bag with mochi
Nothing too crazy, despite the high praise from some other burpplers
Whether itโs a highball or a Junmai Daiginjo, this Oden compliments with its awesomely flavourful broth, textured rice cake and delicious radish. A night of nihoshu is never complete without this; I should know, I have been doing it for a decade! Come down, stand and drink nihinshu and have an Oden or two and life will be complete. ๐
Congratulations again on being 10 and thank you for putting this on the menu!
Hunt down this hidden gem for its buzzy vibes and unassumingly good nosh. The Orihara Don is unique to this Singapore joint, and is worth ordering for a runny egg and plenty of pork. For small bites, the Chicken Hearts are excellently done. There are limited bar seats, but it's much more fun to stand while knocking back a bottle of sake.

Unique to SG, you can't even get it in Tokyo (the guy gave us a blank stare when we asked for it ๐๐). I am not going to wax lyrical about it; you just have to drop by and have some. #noodleeats #burpple #burpplesg #don #japanesefood #thegrowingbelly #singapore
