For desserts, their Bunny Yam Snowskin Bun is indeed too cute to eat! ๐Ÿคฉ Shaped in an adorable bunny ๐Ÿ‡, the soft snowskin encases a smooth & earthy yam filling ๐Ÿ’œ! Going at $38 for 4pcs of yam bunny & 4pcs of pineapple ingots ๐Ÿ. Their Nian Gao with Coconut Milk ๐Ÿฅฅ ($28) was equally tasty! ๐Ÿ˜‹

The highlight has got to be their sumptuous Ju Treasures Pot (pencai), made with 16 premium ingredients! ๐Ÿคฉ Priced at $268, this serves up to 6 pax & it comes with free Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yusheng worth $38! โœŒ๐Ÿป Available for takeaway in free claypot!

Featuring ingredients such as abalone, scallop, sea cucumber, prawn ๐Ÿฆ, roast pork ๐Ÿ–, chicken ๐Ÿ”, shitake mushroom ๐Ÿ„, cabbage ๐Ÿฅฌ, broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ, yam ๐Ÿ , beancurd skin, all robust-tasting afer absorbing the essence of the pumpkin collagen supreme stock ๐ŸŒŸ, this is definitely a hearty pot of goodies!

Helmed by veteran chefs from Peony Jade ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿณ, you are guaranteed the finest of Cantonese flavours in these classic zi char specialties! Oh yes, be sure to try their Polo Buns ๐Ÿฅฏ sandwiching a thick slab of butter ๐Ÿงˆ - super indulgent! ๐Ÿ’›

Really enjoyed these tender Jing Du Pork Ribs ($16.80) ๐Ÿ–! Reminds me if the classic zichar dish - ๆŽ’้ชจ็Ž‹, these thick chunky pieces were not tough at all & had a soft chew. ๐Ÿ˜‹Slathered with addictive sweet sauce & topped with sesame seeds, this was brillliantly executed! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Other noteworthy zichar dishes include fresh Black Truffle Sliced Fish with Asparagus ($26.80) ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ–ค! The fish sluces were fresh & chunky, well perfumed with the earthy notes of truffle. The asparagus adds a nice crunch to the dish. ๐Ÿ˜‹

If you are a carbs lover, opt for their Premium Yuan Yang Seafood Hor Fun ($13.80) to enjoy the dual flavours of wok-fried seafood hor fun ๐Ÿ”ฅ laced with egg gravy & embellished with crisp-fried hor fun โœ”๏ธ.

Their Lobster Pao Fan ($26.80) makes the perfect comfort food! ๐Ÿฆž Cooked for 8 hours, the broth was brimming with the fresh taste of seafood & umami flavours! ๐Ÿฅฃ Besides springy lobster meat , you'll also get to enjoy clams & fish slices! ๐Ÿคค

Do not miss their Tea Pot Soup masterly double-boiled with abalone & shark cartilage ($18.80) ๐Ÿซ–! Full of essence in every drop, the broth was super rich & creamy without being too heavy! โœจ๏ธ MY FAVOURITE!

Whet your appetite with their Trio Platter comprising Fried White Bait with salt & pepper ($12) ๐ŸŸ, Eggplant with meat floss ($10) ๐Ÿ† & Wasabi Prawn ($18.80) ๐Ÿฆ. All of them were good but the eggplant dish really stood out owing to novelty! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

The other dishes we tried didn't impress us. The stewed chicken in 3 cups sauce (ไธ‰ๆฏ้ธก), chilli oil wanton (็บขๆฒนๆŠ„ๆ‰‹) and xiao long bao were simply decent. The only dim sum item that stood out was the ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ซ ๐’๐ข๐ž๐ฐ ๐๐š๐จ. The bao, designed like a giant mushroom, was soft and fluffy, while the char siew fillings tasted excellent. (Swipe to the end for some bao breaking action.)

East Bistro deserves a return visit, especially for its highly-raved pao fan.

Another superlative dish was the ๐’๐ฐ๐ž๐ž๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐Ž๐ง ๐ˆ๐œ๐ž. Crispy on the outside, soft in the inside, and simultaneously hot and cold, this dish is pure genius. I found it a tad too sweet, but kids will definitely love it.
