Meeting up with friends for a Monday dinner around the Raffles Place area, we decided to give Kin Tub Thai Mookata a try. First and foremost, the view from our table was spectacular. I made a reservation via WhatsApp, requesting outdoor seating, which they kindly accommodated. We were seated right at the river's edge, offering us a great view of the Singapore River and Marina Bay Sands.

We ordered the Premium Beef and Pork set, which, after GST and service charge, came to a little over $150. The portions were generous and sufficient for three people, with three varieties of beef and pork cuts, all marinated and seasoned very well. The set also included a basket of vegetables, glass noodles, and an egg.

The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and attentive, always ensuring our soup was refilled before it dried up. While their prices are on the higher side, the quality of the meats, the excellent service, and the impeccable scenic sunset view during the evening make it worth the expense. I highly recommend Kin Tub Mookata for a great evening with friends and family over dinner, enjoying both the food and the view.

Would recommend trying their one-of-a-kind deep fried Kang Kong ($16) when here! Lightly battered crunchy greens without overpowering the natural vegetable flavour, enhanced by the tangy spicy sauce. Also included crisp and succulent chunks of fish, and 2 generously sized deep fried prawns.

Hearty and satisfying traditional charcoal Mookata at decent prices. We went for the Mookata set ($69.90) that’s good for 3-4 pax. Enjoyed the sweet-sour and mildly spicy Tom yum soup. All the meats were well-marinated and tender. One can choose to have them in the soup or charcoal grilled for a smoky finish. Our favourites were the marinated and Tom yum chicken, pork belly, and marinated pork collar.

All exceptional value, even though sets were not available at night. Accommodating efficient lovely little place. All could be spicier

A lot of ingredients in the prawn tom yum, including tofu skin, egg, etc. Swopped to glass noodles & couldn’t even finish. Manageable heat, could be spicier. Do note their extra value sets are not available for dinner, but good value anyway.

Minced pork omelette @ $8

More batter than egg. But got lots of minced meat. A bit salty but good with their chilli.

Basil chicken fried rice @ $7

Back here for dinner this time and this fried rice is satisfying. It tasted even better with their chilli.

Price is a little steep for the portion.

Tomyum seafood set @ $10

The set comes with white rice, two fried springrolls and a drink.

The food is not bad though i expected the tomyum soup to be a bit more spicy. There's quite a generous amount of ingredients for the price, two prawns, two mussels, some fish and lots of mushrooms. Think this is the only set that comes with two fried springrolls.

Friend got basil chicken noodles dry which was a bit salty. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that ot just a bad day but would like to come back and try the noodles next time.

📍Tomyum Kungfu (Circular Rd)
- Tomyum Seafood Soup with Glass Noodle🥘
- Thai Milk Tea🥤

Here again for we craved for tom yum soup, that little sour and spicy kick (but not too spicy, so don’t worry).

Generous portion of seafood (prawn, squid, sliced fish, mussels), beancurd skin, mushrooms and onsen egg, yay!

Set lunch comes with a drink and sides, pretty value-for-money at CBD area.

This is my first time here and I’m taken aback by how unprofessional the service staff. I came early to this place before dinner time because I wanted to choose an outdoor corner to sit. I patiently asked if I could be seated at another table, but the staff refused angrily and frustratedly. I felt I was unwelcome to this shop. The service provided really made my lose all my appetite for the night. I’m utterly disappointed.
