Rainy days call for soup, and the house-favourite fish ball soup did not disappoint. A bit salty too, but the soup is super flavourful from the onions, garlic and spring onions. Quite generous with the fish balls and fish paste too.
Deep-fried kailan is served on top of more kailan – liked this a lot! Cooked in your usual anchovy and garlic sauce.
Tho a bit salty this chicken dish is call kinds of yummy. Sauce was thick, boasting sweet and spicy flavours – perfect for pouring all over your white rice. They also have this in medium and large options.
You'll find this neighbourhood restaurant buzzing with families tucking into Homst's delicious Chinese-Muslim fare for dinner. Alternatively, swing by for a dim sum breakfast to have classics like Homst Siew Mai (RM10.80) and Homst Steamed BBQ Chicken Bun (RM8).

Bookmark this neighbourhood stalwart for your next family feast! Order these specialities – Kangkung Belacan (RM10), Sambal Fish (from RM9 per 100g) and Wet Buttered Chicken (from RM18). A must-have according to Burppler Farah Azis is the Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab (from RM28), which she acclaims was 'love at first bite'. We recommend pairing the dishes with the Chinese Fried Rice (RM9) that's extremely flavourful. Ps. They also offer single plates of rice and noodle dishes for solo diners.

Serves local malay dishes in a cosy restaurant. Food is ok and staffs are attentive. Mango blended with no sugar is good.
Homst is the neighbourhood favourite for delicious Muslim-friendly Chinese dishes to share. Keep this spot in mind the next time you're hosting a big get-together – there's a private dining area available for large groups.

I remember this being on of Homst’s signatures. If you’re a fan of butter chicken, this isn’t like others but worth an order anyway. The sauce isn’t as creamy but the flavours are strong, redolent of curry leaves and spices. There’s a dry version available too.
I LOVE kangkung belacan, and this is a no-brainier order for a Chinese-Muslim resto. All you need is a bowl of white rice.
One of my guilty food pleasures is fried rice and I’m happy to report Homst’s is super tasty, and there are many more to choose from on the menu! The rice is slightly spicy and fried together with vegetables and onions. I’m not a fan of the fried chicken on the side. It’s well-fried but there was more batter than meat.
The mutton curry was rich, tender and flavorful and the squid was perfectly cooked, however I think the addition of cili padi to the squid would’ve given it a nice spice. The sambal kangkung was delicious as well, with the shallots giving it a nice crunch and fragrance. Definitely pair the dishes with the Nasi Ulam, you’ll love it. Looking forward to making a return trip with a bigger party to order the bigger dishes here.
