For $15.50, I ate my fill, and enjoyed my Nandos experience adequately.
The bottomless drink and self serve hot-sauce was satisfying, although the chicken was notoriously Nandos-level dry and the Vusa XX spice level proved to be a dud, not tasting spicy at all.
The aromatic rice was extremely satiating and meshed well with the chicken and endless cups of Coke Zero I drank.
For a one-off visit, this checked all the boxes, but I dont think the chicken quality is good enough to warrant cravings.
Grade: B+
The portion was not too big, good for 2 people who aren’t too hungry. I got the wedges and the signature rice as sides. The wedges were fresh and crispy on the outside, soft inside. The rice tasted like nasi lemak rice as there was coconut flavour to it, and some fried shallots that added texture to the rice. The chicken was soft and tender, even the breast, and the skin was nicely grilled and flavourful with the sauce.
A little apprehensive where the chickens are coming from so best to go for a full vegetable burger .
I asked for a deconstructed burger so that the buns will not be soggy.
Missing the mango chutney (wasn’t even told they were out of it - had to ask for it ).
Pleasant burger patty of chickpeas , mixed vegetables and a light cumin spice.
A little steep for the portions .
My personal favourite chicken joint. Moist chicken flesh even with the breast portion, slathered with the tangy and spicy peri-peri sauce.
It’s been years since Nando’s hit our shores, I haven’t had anything else in the menu besides half chicken with two sides. It’s hard to try something new when you’re so in love with the specialty item haha!
Compared to the hot sauce on the chicken, I preferred the mild sauce. It was spicy but not too spicy, a notch lower than the hot sauce. Thigh was pretty juicy and meaty, and not too fatty.
The garlic bread was weird to me though, they used their burger patty as the bread, I would honestly prefer a baguette of sorts😂 it was soft and more buttery than garlic-y also.

The lunch set is the same price as ala carte, but comes with a free drink. I like my chicken boneless because I’m lazy to pick out the bones or even use my hands and fingers. The hot periperi sauce really lives up to the name of their sauce... really spicy, a tinge our sourness together with the spiciness was quite nice. But personally I would prefer to have the hot sauce at the side, because the flavour and spiciness might get to overwhelming. Wedges was crispy and nice.
