The nuts were very crunchy but the pudding was dry, not good

Overall it's worth visiting if you're in the area and craving for steamed food. This kind of steamed Japanese specialty stall is very rare, and I'm glad to have tried it after watching a yatai on YouTube which serves this style

Update :having had tonjiru in japan, now i know this rendition is pretty legit. Not to say whether its good

Steamed rice+ choice of side(squid siew mai) + choice of soup(yuzu tonjiru)

The pork belly was really as wonderfully fatty and tender as people say, but not greasy at all. Rice could have been fluffier tho and furikake game can be upped

The squid siew Mai was very interesting, flavour was unique and the textures was good too, it's more soft and tender but with a slight bounce. Shoyu went well w it

Yuzu tonjiru has a decent execution, there's burdock and konjac inside, I personally don't like yuzu but I also don't think it's really got an insane depth

The alcoholic drinks here start at 6 IIRC, which is incredible.

Until 31 Dec there is 50% off tea set (available only from 3-5 pm, main courses unavailable during tea time) for 9++ consisting three each of sweet and savouries, which is great value for one pax. The baos were both great, as well as the siew mai. One of us said the (oversized) yuzu macaron was too sweet and the kaarage too salty, but I liked them. The other liked the matcha cake while I felt it was average. The amazake or sweet fermented rice drink (non-alcoholic here but do ask if it's totally alcohol free if you need to) is a treat for the new year. The long steaming time fukamashi green tea (pictured and recommended) was smooth and sweet while the black tea was slightly too astringent for my company but it was fine for me. Here's to a better 2023.

Moist, spongy, rich chocolatey cake infused with light but sharp & fine yuzu flavour delicate cream. Comes with a choice of drink.

Only available during high tea time. This aesthetic set consisted of Shoyu-koji Unagi Bao, Lemon-koji Karaage, Steam Ika Siu Mai, Matcha Burnt Cheesecake, Yuzu Macaron and a chilled cup of amazake. Also, comes with a choice of drink. Add $2 more for their Signature Craft Yuzu Cola or MUSUBI Nigori Lemonade.
Sad that their Unagi and Pork out of stock that day so they replaced it with Shio-koji Aomori Salmon for the bun. Steamy hot and soft fluffy bun complement with buttery salted tender salmon. It was yummy.
Karaage was succulent and had nice crunchy skin.
Steam Ika Siu Mai was certainly unique and a must try. Shredded steamed squid wrapped with savoury fish paste inside and topped with ikura. Rich and naturally sweet seafood flavour.
Matcha Cheesecake, tho small but it carry a bold, earthy and velvety taste.
Yuzu macaron was mellow, citrusy sweet and easy to bite.
Amazake also known as the sweet sake was served cold, creamy, sweet and is a healthy probiotic fermented rice drink.
Real warning for those want to get their signature drinks, be prepared to handle a strong sourishness and fizziness. It will smack you hard in the face. Not for the faint-hearted. As for me, I find the lemonade nicer and less sour than the cola but my friend thinks otherwise.

Yum Cha but Japanese style!? NANI!? Tell me about it. Visited late after lunch hours so can't get to eat their steamed rice bowl as they switch their lunch menu to café (3pm - 5.30pm). So we had high tea instead and were pleased with it.😌
