The Crispy Silver Hill Duck served with Homemade Crepes ($68.00 / Half) was the highlight of the meal. Not really knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by how succulent the meat was. Prepared with London duck sourced from Ireland's famed Silver Hill Farm, the dish resembles a large duck confit in my opinion. Marinated then deep-fried to a crisp, before being shredded like floss to be wrapped in the crepes and the accompanying condiments; the protein was very flavourful. Although you don’t get the glistening duck skin, you do get bits of crunch from the well-fried skin and it proved to be an interesting change from the usual Beijing Duck - a lighter alternative yet just as satisfying and substantial.

My go-to order at every dim sum restaurant, their Deep-fried Beancurd Skin Roll with Prawn ($6.80/ 3 pieces) delivered a superbly crisp-flakey exterior and the interior was wonderfully succulent. Served piping hot, the prawn filling was also nicely seasoned and sweet.

A nice spot for some dim sum brunch with the girls, Min Jiang at Dempsey was real fancy.

Complete with golden flakes, the Steamed Chicken with ‘Nai Bai’ and Dried Scallop Dumpling ($9.80/ 3 pieces) was savoury, plump, and tender. The vibrant jade-coloured skin was a tad thick and it got cold pretty quickly but the flavours were on point.

The Deep-fried ‘Golden Pear’ Curry Chicken with Mushrooms ($8.80/ 3 pieces) was fried to golden perfection. I liked that the crunchy batter wasn’t too thick and it didn’t feel greasy at all. The spice level was mild and it was overall pretty fragrant. Love the mini chocolate balls too as they added some crunchy decadence.

Feature the savoury indulgences from Min Jiang and Min Jiang at Dempsey.

We don't normally fancy duck because the skin can get tough and the meat dry, but we're all for peking duck!!!🐤 The version offered at Min Jiang definitely hits all the right spots, with crispy skin and juicy meat.👌 We also love having peking duck wrapped in crepe and Min Jiang offers 2 versions which is the traditional one (cucumber and scallion) and Sichuan version (Scallion, garlic and kimchi), making it really fun to eat as we could switch between the 2 versions.☺️ It was our first time trying the Sichuan version and surprisingly preferred it as it offered greater flavour dimensions being a little spicy and garlicky but still tastes refreshing! Definitely worth a try as we don't see it in other restaurants.😍 Do note that one day advance order for the peking duck

Lastly, if you just wish to have something small, Min Jiang offers an array of dim sum as well which we did try.🥟 They looked cute and innovative for sure, but nothing to shout out about for the taste.😕 We recommend giving the peking duck a try but given its hefty price, definitely a meal saved for special occasions😬

Very juicy and crispy! Worth the try. Half is good for 2 to 3 person with 8 home made crepe

These are food that we are familiar with, but given the Min Jiang treatment that elevated the dishes with quality ingredients and cooking. These are what's pictured:
* Sichuan Hot and Sour Soup with Prawn Spring Roll ($12 each) - my favourite here, it's actually refreshingly acidic and spicy without being too spicy. That prawn roll was the surprise, it was filled with prawn paste fillings instead of being just a spring onion roll.
* Iberico Pork Fried Rice with XO Sauce ($36). Well-fried and flavourful on its own, but best when eaten together with the XO Sauce.
* Stir-fried Three Treasure Vegetables with Crispy Golden Mushrooms ($28). Refreshingly crunchy vegetables, with texture from the golden mushrooms lending it a crisp meatyness-texture
* Chilled Cream of Fresh Mango with Sago Pearls and Pomelo ($8 each). Another dish that was done just right - full taste of mango without being too thick, a refreshing end to the meal.

Besides from Min Jiang at Dempsey, a range of food options from Coffee Lounge, The Deli and Min Jiang (at Goodwood) are also available for online delivery. A minimum order of $50 is required, and delivery is free for orders of $95 and above.

This Fortune Delight Crispy Silver Hill Duck with Glutinous Rice uses Ireland duck from Silver Hill Farm and is marinated with many types of ingredients including Chinese Rice Wine. It is definitely a heavyweight dish to have at home, and the size is easily good for 8 pax.

You get 10 crunchy prawns that’s coated either with a wasabi mayonnaise or cereal. Both tasted really fresh and tasty.

Restaurant is housed at a corner of Dempsey Road surrounded by ample parking and greenery. Restaurant look really chic and bright with lights flooding the room from the floor to ceiling window.

Great choice for Chinese food around that area.

This homey yet luxurious crab fried rice is ultimate comfort food. The accompanying egg and crab sauce is creamy and rich. It’s the kind of dish that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

This seasonal fish was delicate in texture and flavor. It’s simply a fresh, mild and tasty fish. The flying fish roe was the perfect topping.

This is local chicken with the local taste like in the Hainanese chicken rice that we are all familiar with, but this is very refined. It was all good - the slippery smoothness of the chicken, the perfect ratio of fats to flesh, and the flavours of ginger pate and superior broth in the sauces.
🔸
It's definitely more expensive than other Hainanese chicken, but it'll not be easy to find a place that does it as good as this.
