Mei Feng Roasted Chicken Rice (West Coast Market Square)

For $7.70, I got a roast duck drum stick, roast pork and braised egg. The portion is huge! What I liked best was the pickled cucumber sliced wafer thin. They were sourish and really got your appetite going. I do wish they would give more gravy with the rice.

Wolfed down the entire packet within minutes. Duck was no longer crispy by the time I got home but flavour was good, meat very firm. The roast pork was a little dry for me but I got the healthier cut with less fats.

Will come back soon to try their chicken rice.

Sucks this time, I think it's cos I came after the crowd so the food is abit cold alr

Char siew was tough and hard but the noteworthy sauce saved it somewhat and made it bearable.

They didn't have roasted ckn anymore so I got the soy sauce ckn instead, it's pretty tasteless

Do ask for debone when u order.

Good as ever, and I think I figured out the secret to the light and fragrant sauce: shallot oil.

Quite a reasonable portion of meat for the price, and I really like the glaze. It's basically bakkwa lol, except the meat, just like some bakkwa, was q tough.

The portion is small but it's not too expensive either. Siobak wasn't good

Char siew didn't have a crust but wow was it smokey. Recommended! The light soy sauce goes well w the flavourful n tender roasted ckn. Chili was intense w garlic and ginger punch

Originally wasn't going to write a review on this stall but honestly, to all the Westies, this stall serves up some legit roast chicken.

The STAR of the meal, the roasted chicken, was extremely moist, tender and succulent. The skin, while moist and slightly soggy was sinfully delicious, a thin layer of fat beneath it melting in your mouth with every bite. After my meal, I kind of regretted not ordering more roasted chicken and thinking of it now just makes me crave for more. If I could, I would have gladly ordered half a roast chicken just for myself. So for the Westies, if you have not tried this, you're missing out. And for the rest of Singapore, truly worth giving their roast chicken a shot, just don't make the same mistake as me :)
