Established in August 2013 by Li Xia and her business partner, this brand is known for serving affordable and delicious bowls of noodles.

Their battered dory fish fillets are the most popular, crispy outside soft inside, with savoury sweet salty flavour.

The thick flat noodles are chewy grainy sweet, the bean sprouts are crisp vegetal sweet, the fish cake is springy sweet savoury, and the braised chicken egg is bouncy eggy salty herbal sweet.

The crunchy tender 5 spice roll carries savoury salty herbal earthy flavour. The braising gravy is starchy gloopy thick, made with 7 different herbs, splash of black vinegar, chunky sambal belacan, scoop of minced garlic, fresh coriander, lend savoury herbal salty sweet spice flavour.

($4.50) I previously tried it at kallang bahru hawker centre but I didn't ordered signature version. So I decided to order it again and probably I did ordered in the past. Fried fish fillet have only one :") but the ingredients they still give plenty and not much :"(

Upgraded $4 instead of small size as too much batter inside the fish but still crispy and crunchy for outer skin even though I felt the fish cooked beforehand.

Although this stall in Albert Center is not in the same league as Old Airport Road or Tiong Bahru, I have heard of them before and decided to give it a try today since I am in the area.

The portion is reasonable and you get value for money (3 pieces of fried fish, one large pork belly, one prawn fritter and a few slices of fish cake, all for $3). But for me, the most important thing for Lor Mee is the braised sauce or Lor. This must be the most watery Lor Mee I have ever had. You can actually spoon it up and let it flow off the spoon, much like a soup.

Should have gone for the other stall with the longer queue.

The Ma Bo lor mee came with a deep-fried battered fish, braised pork, ngoh hiang, fish cake, half braised egg, thick yellow noodles and thick and gooey braised gravy that is made with various Chinese herbs. The battered fish was served piping hot that is crispy on the outside and tender inside. The noodles were springy and I like that the gravy to noodles ratio was good that it does not get too dry in between. The gravy was well braised with a perfect gooey consistency that was neither too thick nor watery. Topped it off with some chilli, vinegar and chopped garlic for more heat and enhanced flavour 》$2.50

Fried fish lor mee @ $3

It's simply delicious and need no more words. Can add garlic, chilli and vinegar to your own liking. Quite a substantial amount for the price. There's also normal lor mee for $2.50, really cheap and good!
