This thing is rlly not as good in a jar. Idk maybe it's that I'm having big mouthfuls, but each slice of mushroom is rather dry. The umami isn't so intense either
I saw them scoop it into the jar tho, so idk what's up. Maybe the taste deteriorates over time

Nah this is not good. The salted egg is much weaker than the ham and proportionally the whole yolk takes up too much volume.

The ratio is finally correct. Super generous portion of filling, aromatic and not overly sweet.

This is exactly that, it's absolutely insane in terms of the super strong and complex ham(they use 宣威 ham) which is a specialty in Kunming and the sauce comes thru intensely as well
Grapes were good, peaches were fine, honeydew wasn't v sweet

But ultimately the meal was a very unhappy one. Too many problems. If you come, start by making sure you're reaching before 7pm so you secure their signature duck
But it should be obvious that it's not the birds eye slices itself that's giving so much heat, if it's that unbearable. It's alr in the sauce, hence this wasn't any less spicy
In the end they waived the dish which was nice
As for the veggie itself, I think it's the first time I'm trying a proper one. There's this particular taste which I can see why some people identify as a fishiness but it's really not as bad as it's made out to be

Porcini is wild, the harvested ones are only the black porcini. It's good from the oil, but the flavour is really not stunning. Thank god I didn't order their stir fried porcini for 300nett, that's bound to be a mistake
Candied walnuts were some of the best I've had. Super crunchy, and nice caramelisation on the walnuts while remaining light
Their snacks from the 过桥 are all free flow. Although with the huge portion of soup how much can you really eat

Ridiculously spicy. It's just pure birds eye chili and sourness. In fact u don't taste the veg as well, it's so strongly seasoned.

Ckn was decent, soup was very clean tasting. It's a good version, but nothing mindblowing. You can get the same thing in Singapore. And this is their best alr?
