The cookie, slightly brittle crust style.
Either version of the egg tart you choose, both are equally good.
Leung sang has been around for a long time, around 40+ years, and recently opened another outlet at bugis junction.
The custard is the same for both types of egg Tarts. It's sweetness is not over powering and the texture is just right and it smells so good too.

The amount of filling in this polo seems to be a little inconsistent hmm in other pictures I saw, the fillings looked a lot more generous. Half of my bun was filled pretty well with fillings while the other half was just bread đ for $1.20 it's still really worth it though, cuz the whole bun feels so heavy!
The polo is really crumbly and sweet, the cookie becomes crispy when heated in the oven. The bread is really dense and chewy and the roasted chicken fillings taste like char siew and it has a pretty "authentic" taste, not those cheap kinds. They go so well together!
This is definitely better than random neighbourhood bakery char siew polos and for only $1.20, really worth it. Hopefully there will be more fillings next time, so I'll definitely be back to try again!

Was really surprised at how generous the fillings in this bun were! Not sure if the custard is supposed to be flowy or not cuz I kept it in the fridge and heated it in the oven (the outside got a bit burnt but the custard was still cold when I ate it đ¤) but anyways the consistency of the custard is really thick and kinda solid, not those gooey kinds. It was really well filled!
The custard basically tastes like regular custard, nothing more to say HAHAH the polo cookie is sweet and crumbly and isn't overwhelmingly sweet together with the custard!
Probably wouldn't get this again but still really worth the price, and the fillings are so generous. Would recommend if you like this kind of custard!

This pastry tastes exactly like a mini lotus mooncake with salted egg, except that the crust is different. This crust is really buttery and crumbly, while the lotus paste is sweet. The salted egg is crumbly too, and it's pretty soft, unlike other salted egg pastries where the egg is kinda rubbery and chewy. Like it!
This is one of those foods that tastes kinda unhealthy tbh HAHAHA with the buttery-ness of the pastry and the dense fillings, I'd probably not eat this often.
I still prefer mooncake cuz I love the skin but this is a relatively more affordable version that is pretty good quality! If you love mooncakes and buttery pastries, do give it a try!

Found this really interesting cuz I've never seen a curry chicken polo before! The fillings in this were about 30% chicken, 70% potato.
The curry was on the saltier side, not that spicy imo. It's like having a curry bun but instead of regular bread, it's a crumbly polo bun. The bread is dense and chewy and overall a good bun!
Personally not that big of a fan of curry buns as compared to other buns so I wouldn't get this again, however it's really worth the price!
