This area is so quiet as they located within this low dense neighbourhood not accessible directly with any public transport, which required a fare of walk if you are not driving.
Only a few tables occupied when I came for dinner on weekday night. Yet this Taiwanese restaurant continues to gain their supporters all these years even at this location.
I ordered their signature rice which served like a bento style with braised minced pork and salt & pepper chicken in one plate. Accompanied by braised egg, pickled veggie and beancurd.
So you could enjoy the most from both meat in one plate.
One of Singapore's OG Taiwanese restaurants. They ended up in West Coast so I could never eat it. Let me say this: they do fried chicken very well and nothing else. This cutlet was juicy and tasty, although I've no idea what "kala" is. The noodle used is similar to that used in Taiwanese hotplates, which is never great, plus the seasoning was negligible.

To be honest, I have always been craving for Railway Bento even when I'm in Taiwan. Their Railway Bento is of a big portion and I'm kind of surprised. The plate of Bento Meal comprises of one gigantic slab of pork chop coated with sweet-savoury dark sauce, braised eggs, sliced Tau Gua, greens and pickles.
The dark sauce given was so generous that it may be overpowering its taste and too salty to go without the white rice but for the portion at the price paid, this is indeed tempting.

Enjoyed this dish and will definitely order it again! The look of it wasn’t v attractive but the taste was pretty unique! This dish might come across as a little bland for people who prefers more flavourful dishes.

Highly recommended! Dish was served first so we ate it while it was piping hot. Very flavourful and crispy! As our noodles came, we left it aside till we finished our main dish. Surprisingly it was still as good! Was still warm and delicious 😋

Always in the mood for some comforting Taiwanese food, I have since visited Lee’s Taiwanese a handful of times. And they have proven to be a solid lunch spot before hopping next door to Gelato Labo for dessert when I am at Faber Drive!
Getting the best of both worlds, Lee’s Signature Rice ($10.80) is a great choice for those who are undecided or want to sample their braised minced pork rice and their salt & pepper chicken in a single platter. Savoury and surprisingly light, the braising liquid for the minced pork was nicely balanced and tasted very homey with the hints of aromatic spices. The pork was also melty soft and had a good ratio of fat to lean meat. Seasoned perfectly, the crunchy salt & pepper chicken was fried to a beautiful golden brown. The batter was not too thick as well and the meaty chunks simply hit the spot.
