Lana Cake Shop

When you have more than 10 pax for family gatherings it becomes the perfect excuse for cake. My uncle brought this ginormous box of Lana chocolate cake which is some of the best you’ll find in Singapore.
Its description says everything “timeless classic - soft, moist and feather-light chiffon cake is covered with our signature chocolate fudge.” While this is not your exquisite gateau by acclaimed pastry chefs, it is a timeless classic for comfort.

Order delivery or drive there, it's a pain to walk with no shade from the nearest bus stop

I would say it tastes really homely, it wasn't too sweet and the cake was very soft. But because it's so soft it's annoying to cut and serve, the slices literally bend and roll over.

Also like come on it's a chocolate fudge, how mindblowing do you expect it to be? Even if this is truly the best there's no reason to expect too much from it.

On the page description it says this feeds 12-15 if I rmb. And when you check out it says 18-20. That's weird. But what's really weird is that actl the cake is very tall so a thin slice should be enough for most people, thus we made it feed 24 and everyone was satisfied(I think not too many people like to stuff themselves with cake nowadays)

Be sure to cut with a string(dental floss works wonders) instead of a knife, it's so soft so I presume it's gonna be super messy with a plastic knife

Dubbed as one of the best chocolate cake in Singapore, its clear to see why.

The cake was moist and soft. Doesn't feel very "gao" after eating the cake whatsoever.

Greenwood is certainly a location that birds won't lay eggs at. So be prepared to drive or grab there. It's walkable distance from the nearest bus stop, but it's a long walk.

Got to say this chocolate cake won my heart the first time I tried it. It was soft and moist. Very chocolatey - the way I like it. Only downside would probably be - it is a little too sweet for me but overall still fab (don't even know that this cake shop is older than me)

Gah i love how well done this chiffon cake is. I usually associate chiffon cake with those dry bakeries kind 😅 this one is not dry at all! The chocolate fudge also compliments the cake very well (i love the ratio of cake > cream). Literally can eat the entire cake by yourself and not feel jelak man 😍

So the next day I called n ordered.

It’s Super good. The sponge cake very very moist, the chocolate fudge is balanced well.
I must stop myself not to go for the third slice 😆.
