Lunch at Lai Lai Taiwan restaurant on 3 July 2023. Disappointed with cash payment mode. Unable to use credit card in a restaurant shopping mall.

Visited on 17 july 2022. Was informed that burpple cannot be used, deal cannot be redeem. So take note.

Stumbled upon this Taiwanese eatery at City Square Mall, and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable their set meal was. Priced at $16.90, the Lai Lai Da Ge set came with a bowl of beef noodles with a choice of Taiwanese bubble tea, and a side of century egg and tofu. The fact that the beef noodles ala carte already costs $13.90 makes this set worth it! The beef noodles were pretty decent, with the noodles itself soft and chewy, but somehow texture wise was more like udon than anything else. The broth was light, with an appetising taste, though I also thought it could have been thicker and richer in flavour. Century egg and tofu was everything you’d expect. The milk tea had an apparent red tea flavour, pleasantly surprising me. Opted for the less sugar option but it was already too sweet for me, probably because of the sweetened pearls. Nonetheless, pretty decent Taiwanese fare at an affordable price!

Flavorful rice paired well with fish. Milk tea was good but slightly on the sweeter side, crepe was good!

Food is ok but service isn't that great. Checked with the service crew for recommendation, however, she didn't assist further. Only 1 Burpple redemption allowed per dining session. So we can't have the dessert.
