Matcha Lava Cookie Set w (Milk Cereal) Ice Cream ($11.80)

Finally tried their ice cream after a long time. I knew that lava cookie was a really a "trend" during period when I was studying that time. I hope that I would be trying it out someday but I really make it during my off day. I ask their staff that what's ice cream to pair well with matcha lava set. It's milk cereal but tbh I don't like it because its not much taste (quite plain) inside the ice cream as it's quite milky and creamy. Btw their speciality flavour is blue chai hokkaido milk but I don't really fancy it tbh. I really like their matcha lava cookie set but it's not dry aftertaste and also crispy and crunchy when it's served in hot.

The molten cookie takes 10 mins to prepare but it's worth it! The ice cream looked interesting but felt underwhelming, was overpowered by the cookie. Would be good on its own!

This was our first time trying the matcha lava cookie ๐Ÿต๐Ÿช after trying the rainbow๐ŸŒˆ (white choc) and choco one ๐Ÿซ in the past! And we have to say that the matcha lava is our favourite! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ You could really taste the matcha in the lava and the slight bitterness went well with the speculoos ice cream ๐Ÿจ. At kooks, theyโ€™ll always top off the cookie with toppings related to the ice cream flavour and for speculoos it was crushed lotus biscuits (we think). The combination of cold ice cream and warm cookie is always amazing!! โ„๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅโ„๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Kooks creamery has 3 outlets, 1 at Cathay, Bedok and Serangoon! They also deliver lava cookies for you to DIY at home on their retail website so do check them out! Going to kooks is always a fun little experience watching the lava erupt from the cookie when the gooey scoop of ice cream smooshes down. The choice of ice cream to go with the lava can be quite important! We once got choc icecream and choc lava cookie and found it rlly heaty HAHA

got the normal chocolate lava cookie w ice cream ($9.50), but our flavour was the blue chai hokkaido milk specialty flavour which was an additional $1.50. recommended by my sis... tastes like flowers which i wldnt recommend bc i prefer sweet n savoury things :') but anyways the staff was v nice to pour the ice cream for us! dont think i wld go back but the experience was goooood ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Came here for my ice cream fix for the week. The lemon curd tart is one of the refreshing flavour that taste a bit sour but also cover with the creamery sweet vanilla ice cream.
