If you are looking for some solid Chendol or Orh Nee, I think the rendition at @hupkafoon really hits the spot.
The Durian Chendol ($5.50) was incredibly rich, with aromatic sweetness coming from the Gula Melaka, and savouriness from the thick coconut milk. Because of this contrast, it is surprisingly not too sweet, but you still get a deep flavour from them! Loved the durian paste as well, as it was very aromatic too. Definitely one of the good variants.
One interesting dessert to get is their Durian Infused Orh Nee ($5.50). With a powerful kick of intense durian flavour, the orh nee taste was rather subtle and instead gave a light earthy aftertaste. We actually liked this alot and would order this again!
The Tang Yuan ($3) was quite standard. Felt like they cooked the dumplings a little too long.
Nonetheless, I will come back here again for their Chendol and Orh Nee!
This has become my latest favourite and crave because it has all my favourite ingredients- almond, red beans and orange peel! A Good kick!
Yes one of the best chendols in Sg, besides the one at Chinatown complex.
When you walk around Chinatown, you should able to find a few dessert shops.
And this place is one of them that always filled with people, offering affordable dessert.
I was looking for something refreshing, so obviously the mango sago pomelo is the best option.
They use real sliced mango pieces topped with sago and pomelo.
One of the most famous items on their menu is the Chendol($3.20). This majestic dessert consists of green rice flour jelly, red beans, and shaved ice topped with creamy coconut milk and caramel sticky sauce with a hint of saltiness, resembling dark soya sauce. The saltiness added an extra depth of flavour, making it a standout among other chendol options in Singapore.
Aside from their chendol, they have other tasty treats such as the smooth and creamy Mango Sago Pomelo ($5.50) with real yummy mango and bits of citrusy pomelo in it, which was bursting with fruity mangoey flavour.
