Visited Hup Hup at 80 Circuit Rd for their Mee Siam.

It's a quiet level two food centre with the first level being a wet market. It seems to be one of the very few popular stalls in the food court and surprisingly quiet for a weekend.

$3 for this plate of goodness and their mee siam tastes slightly different from the usual ones. Their noodles are the orange type of beehoon - not sure what's the difference but it seems softer? The sauce is also a lot more peanutty in taste and has a strong taste of the lime.

I quite like it but I doubt that I will return just for it. Perhaps if I'm in the vicinity. 7/10

Despite being known for their mee siam, my favourite was actually the 𝗟𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲 ($𝟯)! This came with the most ingredients among the 3 dishes that we tried (mee siam, laksa and lor mee). This has a good amount of braised pork belly slices, ngoh hiang, egg and fishcake. Would prefer a slightly thicker consistency in the gravy but a good bowl of lor mee nonetheless!

As for the 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮 ($𝟯), it was complete with hum (cockles), taupok and beansprouts, the laksa has a prominent coconut fragrance. I'm used to thicker broths so this was a little mild for me but I appreciated the addition of minced dried shrimp (hae bee) 🍜

Voted as the top 10 mee siam in Singapore, @huphup.co serves up affordable Asian food. These are freshly cooked with love daily 💓

The distinctive sweet and sour profile accompanied with the fragrant nuttiness made me understand why this is the 30 years old establishment's pride. This isn't too spicy and is a little different from the regular mee siam.

Got this with delivery and it came with a good amount of gravy!

This is probably the most tastiest mee siam I ever have, thanks to their super creamy gravy.

They have a long history and still passing down until today. For only $3/3.50, I must said the ingredients was really sufficient for me as a breakfast.

The coconut milk make the gravy just sweet and tasty, topped with fried beancurd and egg. Don’t reject the chilli paste because it is not so spicy, even after adding it. The lime must add to it as well before you mixing all of them.

Around for more than 50 years, @huphup.co aims to provide traditional & affordable local food delights with carefully curated recipes which are passed down from generation to generation. To be honest, I’ve never heard of them before… But better late than never right?😉

For just SGD3/3.50 each (depending on size), here’s what we enjoyed!

Out of the 3, which is your favourite hawker classic?

For me, it’s usually a tie between Laksa and Lor Mee. But now, I’ve became a fan of #huphupmeesiam - a dish that comprises of bee hoon rice vermicelli, beansprouts, fried beancurd, handmade chilli sauce, lime & hard boiled egg, drowned in a sweet, tangy signature gravy. So SHIOK!😋

Lor Mee’s not something I’d usually order, so I haven’t had enough of them to compare. Quite enjoyed this though the toppings were average, the gravy was thick and gooey but not overwhelming or starchy. It’s pretty balanced in its vinegar and garlicky-ness.

Use via their online ordering platform for 4 mains + 4 drinks at $15 till end April. Thank you @huphup.co for sharing these with me! ✨
