You would find a long history for this place, and the legacy continues until today.

Open pretty early in the morning and you would find regular diners coming here to grab their breakfast.

The sliced fish soup can choose from either the normal or fried version, of course you also can go for the combination of both in one bowl.

Simple and light taste of soup in Teochew style. Accompanied with seaweed and lettuce, the batang fish slices are in soft texture.

Complete the meal with either white rice or vege rice like mine, which has richer taste to go with the soup.

This stall, which uniquely sells 3 different meats (fish, duck, pork), has been run by Tay Kim Song and his wife since 1985, though his father founded the brand way before that.
.
The clear soup packs bold flavour, from boiling pork and fish bones over hours, beautifully sweet savoury in taste.
.
Garnishes include crisp lettuce, wispy seaweed, juicy tomato, and crisp coriander, with vegetal earthy herbal sweet flavour.
.
The generous portion of large, thick cut, boneless mackerel fish fillets, in the mixed duo of natural and fried slices, carry lovely meaty tender flaky texture with sweet savoury salty flavour.
.
Served with fluffy braised vegetable rice studded with cabbage and dried shrimp, lending grainy savoury earthy sweet flavour.
.
A personal favourite rendition, an occasional craving. Yum.

A simple and comforting bowl of sliced fish, lettuce and seaweed in clear soup. The batang fish is fresh and the clear soup is light, sweet and flavourful. I like that they added dried sole fish in their soup which added some taste and fragrance to it. I prefer the clear soup with rice as the noodles change the soup with a strong and overpowering taste 》$10.30

A fish soup eatery that sells a comprehensive lineup of braised food. Interesting.

Teochew style, which means white fish and clear, savoury soup. The batang fish was lovely - plump and firm. The soup might seem a bit muted to some, but was just nice for me.

A busy Coffeeshop during lunch.
A plate of tender braised duck & pork belly, accompanied with fluffy rice.
Only $8 with chilled drink.
Definitely will return for other variations offered here.
