The pioneer chicken rice stall in the hawker centre revived after a new owner taking over and continue to serve the signature chicken rice.
The Hainanese style of chicken remain juicy and soft like in the past.

Despite of its look, it was packed with chicken oil. There was only one size. Smaller than the regular rice bowl and tasted better than most. Right amount of oil and the every grain was separated. So Goood.

Another old school chicken rice stall in Chinatown Complex. Once they opened stall at 3pm, the Q will never ease. I purposely ordered the breast meat to try its done-ness. No doubt, it was one of the well done chicken ever. Soaked with their in house "chicken" sauce and dipped it into the ginger sauce, to achieve the ultimate comfort.

Daily queues are expected at this chicken rice stall tucked away in Chinatown Food Centre. I was lucky to arrive nearer to their closing time when the queues have died down a fair bit. They only serve white chicken and they do not debone their chicken meat. Neither do their plates of chicken rice come with chicken soup. The silky smooth chicken skin was hard to resist after being marinated so well whilst the chicken meat was tender and tasty. My gripe would be navigating through those bones to pick at the meat. The chicken rice was fragrant but veered towards a mushy texture and the portion was rather petite. This plate of chicken rice definitely tasted better than it looks but to warrant the long queues would be another matter to deliberate on altogether.
