This is my go to place for white carrot cake. Long queues especially weekends so expect a wait of 30 mins and above during mealtimes.
Their smallest serving is still $3.00 after all these years and in spite of inflation. I also don’t see them cutting corners - portion is still just as big and lots of eggs, which is one of the reasons why this stall has so many loyal fans. The crispy exterior but soft interior makes their carrot cake a joy to chew on. Along with their pickled veg (chai poh) and the chilli sauce, you get flavours bursting from every mouthful.
Downside is that they only dry white carrot cake. Can’t get the sweet black version here.
Pro tip: ask them to add more chilli on the side. Their chilli sauce used as a dip will take the carrot cake to another level.
One of my fave White Carrot Cake on Sg, althoight I have to admit the standard has dropped slightly. But still, it was as crisp, slightly salted from the chai poh, and as enjoyable as I remembered it.
Look at this beauty! — Super crispy, eggy coating with soft radish cubes and bountiful of ‘chye poh’ [a.k.a. preserved radish]. 😲

Still 1 of my favourite Chai Tow Kway around.
He zhong has been around for over 4 decades already, surely it wouldn't last so long if the food was good.
The eggs were crispy.
The carrot cake is self made daily, unlike some places that bought their carrot cake from supplier.
Generous amount of cai poh in every bite.
Served in layers of crispy goodness.
Only available in White. Don't be goondu and order black.
Specialising in only the white version, their rendition features symmetrical cut squares of deliciousness.

The family-run stall by Teo Boon Kuang has been serving since 1973, and daughter Alberta Teo has come on to carry on the legacy.
.
Their carrot cake is soft and moist, marinated in garlic and fish sauce, the egg covering each side and holding it all together, almost like a pancake.
.
Nicely springy with crisp edges, and lovely savoury sweet eggy salty flavour, with a bit of spicy kick.

These chunky blocks of radish cubes are cooked with a generous amount of chai poh that gives some sweetness that complements the savouriness. It is well charred to a crispy exterior with chilli that was smeared while the interior is firm and soft with flavours coming from the egg, chye poh and garlic. This has got to be one of the better white carrot cake I have tasted and not to mention how it was priced reasonably cheap 》$3
