Known for their smart South American grub, this rooftop restaurant in Troika is also well-loved for the brilliant steaks — bring your meat-loving friend (or a date!) along for the ride. Get the Rare French Beef Flank (RM125) to share. The generously portioned 500g beef comes pinkish and tender, pairing beautifully with the Yuzu & Black Pepper sauce. You’ll also want to make a reservation for the best seat in the house (a table near the balcony) for a better view of KL’s stunning skyline.

Celebrated my birthday here and I have to say I was not disappointed ! The beef flank steak was tender and the portion of the roasted potatoes were large enough to share . The escargot dish was a tad bit sour but overall the snails were fresh.
Food: 8/10
Price: 7/10 ( tad bit pricey but the overall ambiance of the place is fantastic also when taking pictures avoid facing below as there’s a construction site haha)
When it comes to Mexican food, Fuego has a special place in our hearts. Apart from the stunning city skyline that is expected when dining here, the South American arm of Troika Sky Dining is alike its counterparts in consistently dishing out quality eats. Bring friends or family, as long as the group loves meat! It's imperative you begin with an order (maybe two) of The Fuego Guacamole (RM20), a failproof rendition served with baked lotus and beetroot chips. Tapas aside, their top-notch grills are what take centrestage. We have recommended the French Beef Flank (RM125) before, and we will gladly do it again. Expect the 500g slab to be pinkish, tender and redolent of its peaty whiskey salt and yuzu rub. Served on the side is a black pepper sauce, but quite frankly, you will not be needing much (or any) of it.
Avg price per person: RM130

Dine at Fuego with friends over South American flavours and all things smoked, grilled and flamed. At the top of that list is the Smoked Quail Eggs (RM25) for a simple start to your dinner. Before the meat galore begins, dip vegetable crisps into The Fuego Guacamole (RM20) — the freshly diced avocado dish is prepared by the restaurant's skillful guacamole chefs. Then share the star, a rare French Beef Flank (RM125) that's rubbed with peaty whiskey salt, yuzu and black pepper sauce. The hearty meat main is good for two so make sure not to over order as their smoky cocktails await — think Whiskey Sour with Smoked Bourbon (RM36) and Margarita with charcoal-grilled lemon (RM40).

Apart from panoramic views of the city, the excellent food at this edgy restaurant is what draws diners. Fuego's take on South American tapas crafts a menu that is perfect for sharing — great for a fun night out with your girlfriends. Start with lighter bites like The Fuego Guacamole (RM20), Smoked Quail Eggs (RM25) and Grilled Watermelon (RM30) to whet your appetite, before moving on to the very hearty portions of meat — think Braised Beef Back Rib (RM95) with an orange, cider vinegar and honey glaze and Australian Grass Fed Rib-Eye (RM110) with a Cambodian Kampot pepper rub, and red wine and grelot onions sauce. There may not be any tummy space left after all that, but if you must end your dinner on a sweet note, go for their signature Fuego Churros (RM35), which comes with salted caramel espuma.
Troika Sky Dining has made itself known for its commendable service and and dining experience, this trip certainly did not let that reputation crumble at the slightest grain. The ambiance was a gasconade of romanticism, utilizing minimal to dim lighting, allowing the lights of the KL skyline flow throughout the area. We started off with the Fuego Guacamole served with baked lotus and beetroot chips, the torched salmon ceviche, the grilled pine mushrooms and the soft shell crab as nachos. Each boasting a flavorful semblance, hitting the necessary marks but nothing over the top. Each starter ranging from MYR20-35++ mark, but as portions are traditionally tapas sized, do not except a fulfilling meal on starters alone. Proceeding to the rare French beef flank, embossed with a peaty whiskey salt rub with a hint of yuzu, served alongside a bowl of black pepper sauce. The generous 500g serving at its tender glory, a MYR 125++ does the seemingly steep pricing all the paramount justice. Ending the contentment of our meal up to this point with the berries pavlova, pouring a flaming brandy concoction over the pavlova dome, not only did this prove to be an aesthetic appeal but one to the tongue as well. Digging deep to the bottom of vanilla Chantilly and macerated berries, the light hearted dessert wrapped up our meal at a MYR35++. As Fuego is an outdoor rooftop with a limited seating area, it's best to make your reservations for tables close to the balcony and the best view of Kuala Lumpur for the utmost noteworthy dining experience.
