All the puffs here are freshly made in the stall for the day and I totally see the reason why they are in the list of Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand.

The skin was so flaky with generous filling inside it.

Original @ $1.60
Sardine @ $1.60
Black pepper chicken @ $1.80
*got this via groupbuy and original not featured in picture (not like we can really tell anyway πŸ˜…)

Love the pastry skin, it's flaky yet crispy and tastes great.

Original flavour is the best, sardine is not bad, black pepper chicke is not to our liking. Some things are best kept in its original and traditional form I guess.

Hope to have it again.

This small curry puff cost $1.60 wanted to try the original flavor but they ran out and only had this left. Even before eating it when I picked it up, the crust crumbled a little bit. It was super flaky and buttery and I must admit I dropped crumbs of it while walking. The filling was filled with chicken cubes and onions coated in a black pepper gravy. The chicken cubes were surprisingly tender and the onions gave abit of sweetness while the sauce had a slight spicy kick. Will be back to try the other flavors.

Crispy Curry Chicken Puff ($1.40)
- Very delicate, flaky and buttery pastry; It is quite oily though
- Curry was slightly spicy but very aromatic and fragrant with chunks of potato
- There was a bit of chicken but not much
I've tried the one at Old Airport Road before (Wang Wang Crispy Curry Puff #01-126) which has a similar layered texture but I can't say I can compare the 2 at this point as it was pretty long ago. Also, don't think it would be fair to compare it with Old Chang Kee's famous curry puffs as well seems it would be akin to comparing an apple to an orange. Old Chang Kee's version has a much thicker pastry shell, stuffed with more ingredients including a hard boiled egg.
Taste: 8.5/10 (Good snack at anytime of the day)

Bought a sardine puff ($1.40) from J2 Famous Crispy Curry Puff and I love it! The crust is soft and flaky and the sardine filling is super moist and tasty. Looks like this will be my go-to curry puff fix from now on🀩!
