Stumbled upon this place at the new Parc Komo while I was searching for food around the area. Had the Butter Pork Rice ($8) with a cup of Iced Lemon Tea ($2.20). Prices are certainly steep while the quality of the food is just decent. The sambal chilli is damn good though.
Came here with a group of friends for a late lunch at around 1400. All of us ended up ordering the same thing due to lots of persuasion from the lady working there. In Chinese, she was saying that if we have never tried their butter pork ribs before, we have got to have it and that the people that she recommended it to just moments earlier all said that it was very good.
My verdict? It is definitely a comforting tasty and sinful dish, not much wrong with such a classic but honestly, nothing spectacular. Would have preferred a salted egg version whereby curry leaves are used for additional spice and flavour.
Note: My portion came with two servings of their vegetables (no extra charge) as I had requested for more.

Overall: 7/10
Told them less chilli so the balance of sweet and spicy is just nice .. Slightly oily and wet for my liking, and sadly, the portion is not as big as I expected. But overrall, with its ingredients of prawn, squid, eggs and all, it is still delicious and ill definitely order again if I'm back.

Except it's more affordable and its pork. It's creamy, buttery and sweet with curry leaves and a dash of chilli, it's pork is not the most tender or juicy, but it's still tasty and is able to cut through with ease. Comes with a sunny side up egg.. and 'plain' white rice.. Just think this as a cross between pork ribs and creamy butter crab and it's only $6! Credit to @sheeatshsucooks to intro me this place! :) 7.9/10ππ½ππ½ππ½
Check out my colleague's lunch ..super sinful sauce ! $6. πI had something less "adventurous"
Nonetheless, this dish is often at the back of your head when you are thinking of what to 'da pau' from the 'tze char' stall.!
