we decided to build our own combo:
- Steamed Corn ($4)
- Octopus Tentacles ($12)
- 700g Crab ($76.30)
- 350g Prawns ($24.50)
opted for the Signature Cajun sauce which tasted like a spicy Pomodoro sauce. v appetising🌶️🍝 everyt was good but only thing i wouldn’t recommend would be the octopus because it was overcooked and tough
Each live crab combo consists of live crab (approx. 800g), prawn (350g), clam (300g), corn, chicken sausage and a choice of sauce. The choice of sauce available is signature cajun (mild/spicy), zesty garlic butter, white pepper cream, mala and beurre blanc 》$108
The portion of seafood was enough for 2 pax. It was served piping hot and then poured onto the table like a messy seafood affair for sharing. The signature cajun (mild) sauce has the right level of spiciness and went deliciously well with the fresh and succulent seafood. Fret not about getting your clothes or hands dirty because disposable bibs and gloves are provided 😊
Couldn't bear to order the seafood bucket with just two of us. Ordered the fried rice (sorry it's half eaten) and laksa grilled fish (rather light taste). Total damage: $50 after burpple discount

The set lunch comes with a crispy chicken roll, sweet potato fries and a choice of drink. I like the sweet potato fries and it's sprinkled with almond and cheese which makes it addictive. Utilised the burpple deal for 15% discount but this is only applicable to food, excluding the set lunch.

Ordered a lobster prawns self made combo, chilli crab with bread and a lobster roll. Made my booking via chope and redemption is a breeze. Total bill after discount is approximately $360 with drinks.
Have a crab-tastic feast with the fam at this restaurant located on the 3rd floor of VivoCity. Burppler Amanda Wong ordered the Live Crab Combo with Famous Signature Cajun Sauce ($98) and "it was soo good that I wish I had a bowl of rice to suck up all the remaining sauces! It came with a whole live Dungeness crab, prawns, clams, corn and chicken andouille sausage." If you'd prefer to customize your feast, build your combo with a choice of 1 main item, secondary items and their signature sauce — Our Famous Signature Cajun, Zesty Garlic Butter or Beurre Blanc.

Even though it’s slightly expensive but the quality seafood and great ambiance makes Dancing Crab a great place to host family and friends.

Tried the black pepper crab platter and it was really good! The crab meat was sweet and chunky and the black pepper sauce complemented very well with the dish. We also tried the lobster roll combo with fries which was served with a generous amount of lobster meat. Don’t worry about getting your hands messy because their service was excellent- they prepared the table beforehand and served us lots of plastic gloves and bags as well.
As part of its 7th anniversary celebrations, @dancingcrabsg collaborated with 赌王 @lnxglobal_official to create the Ultimate Trio which features a 800g live crab, soft shell crab, prawns, Pacific Bocourti Fillet and topped with kaffir leaves, crisp almond flakes, popcorn and Li Nan Xing's very own LNX dried scallop hae bee hiam sauce. On a side note, wouldn't "Dan-Xing Crab" be a better name for the dish? You heard it first here!
The dry rub mix of dried scallop, hae bee hiam, kaffir leaves, almond flakes and popcorn was really really good. It was savoury and addictive, and was delicious on its own and together with the deep fried soft shell crab and fish fillet. I can totally imagine how good this will be over rice.
I wasn't a big fan of deep frying the crab though. The crab meat was tougher and drier compared to its cajun sauce cousin. Perhaps this dish could be better served without the deep fried crab or with crab cakes instead!
I really enjoyed my meal at Dancing Crab. The food was good and the service great. Will be back soon!
Besides crabs, @dancingcrabsg also serves a decent lobster roll.
For $42, you get two lobster rolls with a side of fries. I felt that they were a little more generous with their lobster meats compared to their competitors and enjoyed the golden brown toasted brioche buns which were slightly crisp on the outside and soft pillowy on the inside. Unfortunately, the lobster meat was a tad over cooked and dry though it did go well with the rich and savoury cream sauce with a dash of lemon.
Garlic soy sauce wings were super crispy, and juicy within!

The homemade brioche, while a tad dry, was stuffed with chunks of sweet lobster flesh slathered in creamy sauce and some salad (reminded me of coleslaw which I’m not a fan of) and I did wish there were more lobster and an even more buttery bun. Served in a pair of rolls with fries, probably good to share so you can order their signature seafood which will always be my favourite thing to order here.

The star and our table’s favourite of the night was definitely this! A special dry seafood boil using a fragrant Scallop Hae Bee Hiam sauce; served also with Live Crab (800g), AND soft shell crab, white prawns, fish fillet, generously studded with surprisingly addictive popcorn and mildly spicy haebeehiam bits! Would’ve loved to buy the haebeehiam/popcorn toppings home 😂

Fresh and always fun to eat with a good mess! With a choice of sauce from Cajun/ White Pepper Cream Sauce/ Mala Sauce/ Beurre Blanc /Zesty Garlic Butter Sauce, it’s easy to find one that suits your palate. Each bag consists of 1 live Sri Lankan crab of approx 800g, prawns, flower clams, corn and chicken sausage. This is their recommended combo but you can always customise one of your own.

After 500++ posts, I have reached the pinnacle of my foodie career by obtaining Supersharer status and snagging a spot at an invited tasting courtesy of @burpple and @dancingcrabsg.
Dancing Crab, is part of the Tunglok group of restaurants, and as its name suggests, specialises in crabs. Besides the usual suspect (chilli and black pepper), Dancing Crab's signature dish is the live crab combo with cajun sauce.
For $108, you get a live 800g Sri Lankan crab, prawns, flower clams, corn and and chicken sausage in a savoury cajun sauce which had enough heat to prick my tongue. In true southern style, the bag of seafood boil is poured onto the table, to be shared communally.
Each of the crab pincers was as big as my palm and needless to say, the seafood was fresh, succulent sweet and juicy. Its a matter of personal preference but I do prefer a bolder and more robust sauce --- more smoky, garlicky and earthy.
In spite of the pricetag, I enjoyed their cajun crab. It is reasonably priced considering how big and fleshy the crab was and the quality of the seafood. It was certainly fun getting your hands dirty eating off the table and the food was certainly tasty.
