It's our second visit, to celebrate my birthday. My clique had a memorable dinner here about two years back and we have always wanted revisit but the location deterred us.
Today's service was incredibly unsatisfying with a crazy amount of mosquito, the 5 of us were actively swatting mosquito off our skin.
The place was empty when we arrived and i requested for a table in indoor area but was informed that it was reserved.
Waitress depended on her memory to take our order, and missed my order despite repeating our orders to us.
A passing waiter was tasked to check on the ribs but he conveniently forgot us, even tho the place was practically empty.
Food quality wise, the photo of the Tiramisu cake is a good representation of what they served.
The cake initally came with a mouldy strawberry (it was obviously mouldy, sadly we didn't get a photo of it) so we requested for a change of cake.
The mould tainted slice returned with a new strawberry, as seen in photo. Definitely did not give me a happy birthday.
No surprise, by the time we left, the indoor area (and most of the restaurant) was empty. Who reserved it?
Could you hear the sizzling from your screen??
Fancy a warm gooey brownie? Well this is just the treat for you! Lathered with Nutella sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, this brownie is pure bliss and indulgence:)
One of the best burgers I’ve had!
Sandwiched between 2 soft buns was a thick patty wrapped with a slice Parma ham, topped with brie cheese and caramelised onions~ I must say that they’ve done the caramelised onions right! There was also a generous portion of thick cut fries and salad on the side.
Not exactly an italian dish but part of the valentine's day menu of an italian bistro. Buns were buttery, toasted and had a layer of caramelised onion sauce. In between the buns, wagyu beef, cheese mushrooms and parma ham. The distinctive ingredient here is the parma ham which was not so commonly used in burgers but definitely the most italian ingredient used here. Hence an additional smoky and saltiness punch not found in your typical beef sandwich.
Visited da paolo at Rochester for dinner and this was part of the valentine's day menu. The sauce that goes together with the taglietelle pasta was incredible. It was a marriage between tomato paste and carbonara cream- half red and white , and it was literally saturated with crab meat! I thoroughly enjoyed the taglietelle and would definitely patronise da paolo again for well made italian cuisine.
