Assorted sashimi sushi ($26) โญ๏ธ 4/5 โญ๏ธ
Bara chirashi ($22) โญ๏ธ 3.5/5 โญ๏ธ
๐ดTried out Churaโs lunch specials after seeing positive reviews on Google. Among the two sets, found the sashimi sushi set more value for money with the 12 fresh and quality seafood cuts. The bara rendition featured more stringy cuts but was still enjoyable in variety and textural mix.
Each set comes with a choice of cold or hot udon, appetizer, miso soup, and dessert of the day. The appetizer was a small serving of tangy kimchi that went well with the sushi rice but not quite the sashimi. We enjoyed the slurpworthy udon and hearty miso soup, but donโt have high expectations for โdessertโ as ours was canned fruit.

Looking for some affordable sushi at Suntec City Mall? This place at the basement could be your option here.
They have valuable lunch menu for weekdays 11am to 3pm, with a few lunch set options to choose from.
This set comes with a few types of nigiri such as yellowfin tuna, salmon, amberjack, red snapper, squid, prawn and Japanese scallop. As well as a piece of tamago yaki and 4 pieces of California maki.
The lunch set also accompanied with udon in either hot or cold, appetizer, soup of the day and dessert of the day.
I would say it is definitely a very complete meal to enjoy for lunch.
Another option from the rather huge and decent selection of value lunch sets, the raw fish here were fresh and delightful. Nothing exceptionally โwowโ tho. This was served with salad, miso soup and fruits on the side. The fruits were unfortunately not freshly cut - they came right out of a can. Ie. canned syrup-y fruits that Iโd rather do without.
Chuka offers a selection of delightfully plated dishes and value-for-money lunch sets. Those who enjoy posting their food adventures on IG must order the sushi rice balls served in a bird cage. The bird-cage presentation reminds me of Wโs afternoon tea set. Unfortunately, I wasnโt able enjoy this from the menu - I visited during lunch hour and only a limited portion of the menu was available. On a brighter note, the lunch sets were extremely value-for-money. Featured here is the sushi sashimi lunch set that was served alongside miso soup and side salad too. Fresh and decent lunch, nothing so much of a โwowโ factor. There were fruits served on the side too - unfortunately, they came right out of a can. Ie. canned syrup-y fruits that Iโd rather do without.
Really cute sushi, smaller than the size of your palm. Good and fresh ingredients used, some may change seasonally
Translating into "beauty", Chura Sushi Bar pays attention to both taste and visuals of their food.

The wagyu beef literally melted in our mouth. Took a bite of this and I was immediately impressed. The chef replaced uni with negitoro since it isn't uni season. Wished we could have had this with uni, but even the negitoro version won my heart. Also had my virgin taste of sea grapes ๐
The eagle eyes might have noticed that the 5-month old establishment takes the space of now defunct The Salted Plum at Suntec City. Sad to have witnessed the closure of the Taiwanese eatery but at least we can take comfort in the knowledge that we have a new sushi spot in town.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the exemplary service. Would revisit for the miyazaki wagyu sushi which is worth the occasional splurge ๐ธ
