The steak was rather average. Did not feel that it was seared properly as a slight portion was slightly raw. Seasoning of the steak wasnt up to scratch either. Disappointed.
Prawns were rather a let down especially since lobster wasnt available. Prawn roe had a hint of fishy taste and the pepper and garlic butter glaze wasnt prominent enough.
Medium rare steak paired with red wine & fig butter, fig taste is overpowering on the first bite, overall steak is good. Foie gra butter pairing is good too. ($33)

Came on a sat night, place is quite empty. Suggestion to sit on the 2nd lvl for more private dining.
Note: this is not fine dining
At Buttergrill, you get to pick your choice of butter to go along with your main. Conservatives can choose from classic white, pepper & garlic, or even mustard butter. Those with expensive taste can go for red wine & figs, truffle, or foie gras butter. As for those who are adventurous, try sambal, lemon chilli, spicy salted egg york, or orange ginger butter. 😍
This slab of 150 days grain fed steak tasted extra delicious when paired with red wine & figs butter. 👍 The aroma was apparent and there was a mild sweetness that balance out the savory taste of the tender meat. For this price range, I'd be back to try the steak with other butter. 😄
Topped with sautéed squid, crab meat and mesclun salad, this salted egg yolk base pizza was unexpectedly delightful. The salted egg yolk was not overwhelming but strong enough for the good savory taste that complements the bland squid. Not to worry, the sautéed squid was not rubbery at all. The chunky squids were cooked to the right chewy texture. 😉
Nice tenderloin with Canadian king prawn. Grilled with their hand crafted butter. Nice place for a dinner
