Botanica+Co (Alila Bangsar)

The price is good and the pizza is great.

Bo+Co offers some great vegan and meat-free options. 🍃

We tried the Green Breakfast (RM33) - scrambled herbed tofu, vegetarian sausage, hash brown, mushroom, spinach, tomatoes, and toast. 🍅🍞

The homemade sausage was well-seasoned with herbs and spices to provide flavours. Texture was almost similar to meat sausages and we like that it was not dry.

The hash brown nuggets was perfectly crispy (unlike McDonald's soggy ones) and the toast was crusty. #️⃣

We didn't like the scrambled tofu (resembling scrambled eggs) as we though it was a bit sour. The mushrooms and tomatoes were nicely done. Other meat-free meals include burger, burrito bowl and gluten-free aglio olio.

The Halibut Fish & Chips (RM41) was a huge portion - three pieces of halibut fried in light crispy batter and loads of chunky fries. 🐟🍟

Wow. Wow. Wow. That was all I could think about after stuffing my face with these mini smoked and braised duck mantous. The duck was so meltingly tender and the mantous, pillowy and light. So not what I expected to find here. I mean, we couldn’t get away with the normal brunch stuff like truffle omelette which was good (portion-wise is huge, absolutely recommend to share), the dish just couldn’t compare to these bad boys. There’s also some salad but honestly, I’m rooting for the duck. Duck for breakfast. Duck for president!

Botanica’s fish and chip comes in such a huge portion. Three huge crispy Halibut fingers served with vinaigrette salad and house made Tartare sauce on a bed of steak fries. The fish was moist and not overly greasy. I recommend to sure among two for one serving. RM40 per plate.

Botanica + Co at Alila Bangsar is running a free dessert promotion. For every main dish ordered, you will be entitled for a free Banana Butterscotch cake with ice cream.

I’m always out for a good pizza and Botanica + Co is definitely one of my trusted place for it. The Bianca Fungi pizza is an oldie but goodie from their Bangsar South menu . A white based pizza with no hint of boring tomatoes 😂 topped with loads of mixed forest mushrooms, cheese and drizzles of truffle oil. The dough crust was perfectly baked, crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy inside. On top of that it is served with a special spicy Sage and garlic oil to pair with. It was reasonably price at RM33.50 for that quality you paid.
