Though I am more accustomed to having grilled pork belly when I have Korean, Bigmama’s steamed Suyuk is equally enjoyable. We were served with thinly-sliced unseasoned pork belly. The staff demonstrated how to enjoy this dish 3 ways:
✨ dip the pork in either the lemon garlic sauce (1) or black bean sauce (2) and eat it together with a strip of cucumber, or
✨ place the pork on top a pickled radish and top it with spiced bean sprouts (3)

Personally enjoyed having it the second way - the black bean sauce and the cucumber complements each other and enhances the flavor of the suyuk 👌🏻

This pancake is cooked beautifully with right amount of thickness and crisp on the edges + softness of the filling & with generous amount of chopped garlic chives and shrimps. There’s a soy sauce dipping as well, but it’s not necessary at all, as the dish is good as it is

After you have finished around 2/3 of your Dakgalbi, you can request to add kimchi fried rice, which costs around $5++ per serving. While this is a pretty cool way to make use of the remaining parts of the dakgalbi, we felt that the rice was a little too wet for our liking.

At this point, we felt that we should really have added the cheese because the relatively large portion of rice served made the dish a bit boring after a while.

The food here may not be fancy, but it's clearly prepared with heart. Start off with the Suyuk Boiled Pork Belly served with vegetables and sauces, you'll be taught how to eat it three different ways. Burppler Zoey Belle Wannabe recommends going for the Dakgalbi ($36), spicy marinated chicken with vegetables and Korean rice cakes. "What's best is that after you finish half, you can request for the staff to turn it into a fried rice." Because of limited seating, be sure to make reservations!
