Set Lunch - RM$19
1 Soup, 1 Main, 1 Drink
Pizza Tandoori Treasure (M)
·
Pizza is made upon order, freshness guaranteed. Comes with tomatoes, mozzarella, chicken tandoori, sour cream, peppermint and lime. Very refreshing personal pan pizza. The size is just nice for 1, not oily, with a slight crispy crust. The chicken tandoori is tender but was only given a few piece. Sour cream gives the pizza a nice feel, pair with the lime and peppermint, it lighten the whole meal. The cream broccoli soup given was so so good. Super affordable, super worthwhile

There’s no lack of good food in Pavilion, but how about a set lunch that comes with a Soup of the Day and one coffee / tea / iced lemon tea for just RM19.00?

I had a nice lunch here because of the completeness of the meal. The fresh greens were tossed in olive oil before serving, and the fries were crisp. Although the chicken breast was a bit drier (but wasn’t that how chicken breast was supposed to be?), adding the mushroom sauce to the protein made it much tastier without overdoing with salt or MSG.

Favourite dish of the bunch at Bello is surprisingly the pasta. The beetroot pesto gives it a bright, zesty kick while there’s plenty of minced beef for chew. The fresh pasta is also done well, almost perfectly al dente!

The woodfired oven at Pavilion’s new Bello sets expectations high, and the crust on the pie almost lived up to it with an enjoyably crisp, smoky exterior that gives way to the softer, bread-like insides.

Can’t say the same about the toppings! The salami was tasty (and lacking in volume), and that’s about it. The most integral element — what’s supposed to be a warm, stretchy blanket of mozzarella was instead a thin, almost non-existent layer that yielded little flavour.

Despite what the oven might tell you, the fresh pasta dishes at Bello will fare much better.
