My favourite food stall at Taman Jurong Hawker is B.B.Q. Seafood (03-178)! This is always my go-to stall when at this hawker, especially during dinner time! However, their queue to order and waiting time may be quite long on weekend! Visited on a weekday for this trip! No long queue to order and waiting time for food was just 11mins! The stall also started closing quite early a few minutes past 7.30pm as they were sold out! (operating hours is by right 12-8pm on weekends and 3-8pm on weekdays)
We had wanted to order the small stingray portion ($12) but it was already sold out so we had to get the large $16 stingray portion. Also got sambal sotong ($15) to go along! Rice is 50 cents each.
This is one of the nicer sambal stingray and sotong I have had in Singapore. Easily rank as top 3! The sambal is super fragrant and mild sweet and spicy! Not overly dry or spicy. Goes so well with plain white rice! Comfort food!
Was having lunch at Taman Jurong Market, and was seated very near this BBQ seafood stall, and the aroma of their sambal, just enticed me to come over to order even though I just finished by lunch.
The sambal was damn delicious, the stingray was fresh and tender, meat slide of the bones so easily.
Must return again for their other seafood dishes.
Only open for lunch on weekends.
Sizzling hotplate sambal sotong on the last day of Year 2022. What a bliss!
This is the default stall, my family goes to for barbecue seafood in the West. The sotong is fresh, soft, tender [great for people with biting problems like me!] and always perfectly cooked.
It comes with onions and generous amount of their winsome sambal chilli which is fragrant, savoury and very addictive!

This stingray was cheap AND exceeded my expectations. It was only $10 but the portion size was massive and the sambal was damn good. Queues were very long but understandable. Only wish that it wasn’t so far away.

Taman Jurong Hawker
My first time visiting Taman Jurong Hawker and boy ! Was it worth it !
I had the best sambal stingray ever from this stall that specialises in grilled seafood and sambal .
The stingray was fresh , homemade sambal chilli was extremely extremely good , price was really affordable , service was fast .
I recommend going for the 13 dollars stingray (because the portion was 1.5 times of the 10 dollars portion )
We ordered the 10 dollars portion and regretted because it was sooooooo good .
I say forget rong guang at Alexandra -
This place provides much much better value and taste .
The sambal is so good - I saw tables ordering everything sambal - sambal sotong , sambal crayfish , sambal fish , sambal stingray , sambal la la , sambal kang kong , sambal petai , sambal everything .
Stuffing myself with my favourite grilled stingray from B.B.Q Seafood, that comes slightly charred yet retaining the juiciness and tenderness, right at home.
The highlight is the generous slather of fragrant sambal that’s super-shiok! ❤️
