The tender beef slices are coated with a drizzle of sauce, just enough to bring out the flavor of the meat, and the wobbly Ibsen egg on top seals the deal with its runny goodness š¤¤ this was a hosted tasting, thanks @burpple for the invite! #burpple
tenderness and medium rare is really on point but you get that nice smoky slight char on the exterior too. fold in the onsen egg and everything comes together; texture, and taste. this is #burpproved for me. a @burpple invite.

At a whooping $68, Barashi Teiās Special Chirashi Don was certainly indulgent (butĀ of course, being the most expensive item on their menu). So expect a bigger and better medley of fresh premium fish slices from their other variations of chirashi don. And good to share for two; adoring the great bowl of raw goodness we had Sake Belly, Hamachi,Ā Maguro Akami, melty Uni, popping Ikura and sweet Hotate, just to name a few. All proportionately sliced, the substantial bowl was also kept light with a hint of zest andĀ accentuated with wasabi and pickled ginger at the side. Each comes as a set with a side of fruit and miso soup to go along too. Thus you know where to be forĀ late night chirashi cravings!
Thank you Burpple for the invite and @barashitei for feeding us!
One of the newest items on the menu at @barashitei was the Unagi Salmon Mentai Maki ($14.80). Loved the flavour of the mentaiko sauce that was slathered over slices of aburi salmon, but we felt that the unagi was lost amidst all the activity that was going on within the maki. It's tough to live up to the old favorite, Spicy Salmon Maki ($14.80), which had an addictive spicy sauce and a textural contrast from the tempura ebi within it. This was a tasting hosted by @barashitei. Thanks @burpple for the invite! #burpple #burppletastemaker
Their Spicy Salmon Maki is really good! ā¤ļø Satisfying. š Cha Soba is quite interesting, but sobas are not my cup of tea. This place is a hidden gem. š Saw reviews that their Chirashi Don is pretty good. For a Friday night, this place is pretty quiet and not busy, maybe because it was a drizzling day and some distance from the mrt.
Go for the mixed skewer platter with 8 sticks and you'll be treated to an ample serving of everything š
